The thread wasn't even about which conference is best. You created a debate where there wasn't one because YOU wanted to debate it.
Find the post in this thread where anybody said any other conference was better than the SEC? I'll wait. You come into threads, switch the narrative to something you want to debate, omit things that go against your point, like bowl record, and put up numbers that support it. Trivial things like coaches' salaries. You fon this all of the time.

Come on. Don’t jinx Tom!

Oh, no sir. Not at all. That was my point all along. Even still — they are best conference.

I simply addressed your post about the prospects from the other schools besides the top 2-3.
Sorry if you couldn’t stay on topic with your first post in that thread. Because I thought you were trying to make a good point.
You were just wrong is all.
No biggie — because most folks think that until they examine it.

@Raiders22
And since you quoted my first post, quote the whole exchange. Someone made a comment about SEC schools sitting players to prep for the draft. I responded. Let's see how many Mississippi State players go to the draft. How many Mizzou players, etc.

Again, try to stay caught up.
I point all of the other things out to support my original post and why it is so.
Take the top two SEC teams out AND they still have more draft prospects. This was your original post I responded to.
THEN I used all of the other to support this.
People do not have to say another conference is better. It is IMPLIED when you say the SEC is top heavy with 2 great teams. That is not true at all. They are better than every other conference AND they have two ELITE teams and maybe 3-4 some years.
Not that hard. Research and eye test are your friends here.

As far as me being on topic, it was a response. As far as me being wrong, you can't say that I'm wrong. We haven't seen who will be drafted this season yet. And in years past, even by your own numbers, after two or three teams the draft prospect numbers are compatible to all the rest of the decent to average schools in the FBS.

Correct.
Correct.
but you're saying I'm wrong about something that can't even be proven yet. Let's wait for the draft and see how many prospects these losing SEC teams were resting. Then you can say who was right or wrong.

Simply look at last year. Look at the years past I posted. Look at the trends over the last several years that I posted. Look at the prospects from Mcshay and those guys.
It is amazing the talent in SEC. Every year.

In general, the 5th best SEC team would more than likely be favored to beat the 5th best BIG10 team, or the 5th best PAC10 team, or the 5th best BIG12 team. I don't think it's just the top 2 SEC teams that are much better - I think it goes deeper than that. In the past, bowl games were a decent measure of how well conferences stacked up against each other. That's all out the window now. In the vast majority of these bowl games, we aren't getting the best these teams have to offer - and that goes for teams across all conferences.

That's not what this thread was about though, dude. I think you never actually read the threads. You pick out random posts and say, "Let me turn that one post into a huge thing. I'm gonna give you the Cliffs Notes. The thread was about the SEC's bowl record up to that point and how it may point to the SEC being overrated OUTSIDE OF BAMA AND UGA. Someone made a comment about the reason for the conferences bad record being opt outs due to covid protocols, draft prep, etc. I RESPONDED by saying that every team has had opt outs, and that outside of the top two or three teams, these these SEC teams don't have many NFL prospects. You came in,changed the narrative, talked about coaches' salaries, added in your typical thinly veiled condescension, then claimed you were right. Time will tell though.

Again:
13 different SEC teams have more than 12 or more players on an NFL roster.
For comparison, the Big 10 has 6 teams that have 12 or more in the NFL, I think.

History shows SEC with every team BUT the smart team being a solid pipeline to the NFL. No other conference does these at the bottom.
For example, take away Ohio State and look at what you have left there.

Yep. And I responded and demonstrated that you were wrong on this is all. It is okay to be wrong. Because it is mostly bad perception by people.
Take away any two teams you want in any year. SEC is better than rest of the conference, from third place on down. AND they have MORE NFL prospects.
THAT is what I was replying to.

@Raiders22
What am I wrong about? Does every other team not have opt outs? Was I wrong about that? Do teams like Mississippi State and Mizzou, SEC teams that have lost Bowl games, have a ton of NFL prospects? Was I wrong about that? Just because you say someone is wrong in a condescending way, it doesn't make them wrong. I see right through you. What was I wrong about?

We weren't stalking about any year, we were talking about this year. Try to follow along.

The highlighted part above. The SEC does have many other prospects. Take Alabama and LSU away and you still have more than the other conferences.
So, yes they have a ton of other prospects.

Correct. The other years are used for comparison and to show a trend.
Easy to look it up. A lot of people list their prospects.
Again, not your fault. A lot of people think this.

@Raiders22
We'll see. Or we can even look it up now. We can look up how many of these SEC teams that have lost were sitting players for draft prep. Look up, data analyst. You could put this whole argument to rest now. How many guys did Mizzou sit to prep for the draft? How many did Mississippi State sit to prep for the draft? Auburn, which is a traditional power, loss to Hoiston. Florida, which is a traditional power, lost to UCF. You change the narrative, you dance around. You say, "You're wrong." as if you're some authority. Like the most pretentious guy is automatically right. You could've ended this argument easily? Does Mizzou have 5 guys that sat to prep for the draft? Did Mississippi State?
