New York quickly became the top U.S. state for legal sports betting, with bettors from Buffalo to Brooklyn placing legal bets.
Resorts World became the state's eighth online sportsbook, and with significant demand for sports betting among its residents, operators are competing for customer acquisition, and they're willing to pay — a lot — for your sign-up.
Local bettors can take advantage of several sign-up bonuses and promotions doled out by these sports betting sites. Read on for a detailed look at each of the New York sports betting bonus offers available.
FanDuel, widely regarded as the top sportsbook in the United States, has begun offering its sign-up bonus for its first-time New York-based customers. The $1,000 risk-free bet bonus is the sports betting site's evergreen offer. Here are the details:
Caesars changed its New York offer on March 8, 2022, but it still comes in as the second-best offer in the state. Instead of a $1,500 deposit match, first-time customers can now claim a free bet of up to $1,100 should their initial wager lose. Here are the details on the new Caesars welcome bonus:
With a competitive and easy-to-use welcome offer, BetMGM clocks in near the very top of our list. Here's a look at how the bonus works, its limitations, and its requirements:
PointsBet ranks third on our list with its simplified welcome offer. Here's what you need to know:
WynnBET, New York's most recent online sports betting entrant, put forth an introductory offer, and here's how you can get it:
Bonus: Risk-free bet of up to $500 | Claim now
The eighth legal sports betting app in New York belongs to Resorts World. New customers can claim a risk-free bet of up to $500 if their first bet loses. Here's how to get online and obtain the bonus:
BetRivers is offering a basic 100% match bonus up to $250 and its simplicity makes it an appealing option to have for all bettors.
Any bettor taking advantage of the offer should deposit the full $250 into the new account. Anything less is devaluing this small bonus too much. BetRivers will credit the bonus amount within 48 hours and users will be able to use the bonus funds immediately to bet on games. In other words, put in $250 and you will have $500 to bet on games.
BetRivers is very fair with its rollover requirement. Bettors must wager just $250 one time to unlock the bonus. Although we do not recommend depositing less than the $250, if you do deposit an amount different than $250, the amount required to unlock the bonus will match that of the deposit. For example, if you deposit $100, you will only need to risk $100 to unlock the bonus and be able to withdraw.
The only catch in the rollover is that any bets on -200 favorites or greater will not qualify. That means any bet on a favorite of -210 or -450 will not unlock any of the bonus while a bet at odds of -185, -110, or +125 would.
Bettors should avoid the current welcome bonus at DraftKings. The 20% deposit match to $1,000 provides little value to bettors. Bettors must deposit $5,000 to achieve the maximum bonus, but the rollover amount makes it extremely difficult to clear. The bonus will be unlocked $1 at a time per $25 wagered putting an effective $25,000 wagering requirement to unlock the full $1,000 bonus.
DraftKings does not stop there! Any wager at odds of -300 or higher is not eligible for bonus money. For example, if a user wagered on a -320 favorite, any money risked would not qualify for unlocking any bonus money. There is also a time range cap in place. Only wagers in the first 90 days after depositing are eligible for bonus money. To clear the full bonus, bettors must wager $25,000 in a short time frame. Any bonus credits not unlocked by wagering in the first 90 days are forfeited. If the bonus was not unattractive enough already, any bettor that has deposited to DraftKings in any state is ineligible for the bonus – which might be a good thing!
The $1,000 risk-free bet at FanDuel is the best sports betting bonus in New York due to its simplicity and ease of use.
Trying to redeem the same bonus multiple times, opening duplicate accounts or soliciting others to open accounts for bonus funds are examples of bonus abuse. Sportsbooks offer one bonus per user.
You need to be 21 years old to bet on sports in New York.
Users may redeem a promo code just one time unless the sportsbook clearly indicates otherwise.
