Sports Betting Odds & Lines

Betting odds

Our betting odds page displays the best odds for upcoming games across multiple leagues from the best betting sites in your area. Toggle between point spreads, moneylines, and Over/Under totals to ensure you’re always getting the best odds for your wagers.

How to use this odds screen

The odds screen above shows the next three games (in terms of start time) from the most popular North American sports league, as well as the biggest European soccer leagues.

The best odds are highlighted in  green . Make sure you’re getting the best odds for the game you plan to wager on. Why? Because consistently getting the best price on your wagers is the easiest way to win more money as a sports bettor in the long term.

Getting started

Start by selecting your odds format — the default is set to American odds, but decimal and fractional are also available. Then choose your bet type — point spread, moneyline, or Over/Under.

If you see a betting line that you want to take advantage of, click on the sportsbook name to go directly to that betting site to make the wager.

To see more upcoming games for each league, click on the ‘More lines’ link just above the odds for each league.

Opening lines

The opening line is the first set of odds released by the sportsbook and can be found in the ‘Open’ column towards the left of the screen. Compare the opening line with the current odds to see how much a line has moved since it has opened. You can also see detailed line movement for each game by clicking the Graph Icon icon.

Consensus

The consensus column on the right side of the screen shows you the total percentage of bettors in the Covers community who are backing each team without taking line movement into account. You can see which percentage of bettors are backing each team at specific odds at our consensus page.

Matchup

The matchup link on the far right side of each row will take you directly to the matchup details of the game you’re looking at. If you haven’t done your handicapping research yet, this is where you’ll want to start.

Betting odds explained

If you’re new to betting, you might want a quick explainer into the most popular types of betting odds: the point spread, the moneyline, and Over/Under totals.

Point spread

Point spread betting is the most common way to bet on high-scoring sports like football and basketball. Because not all teams are equal in skill, oddsmakers set a spread number to level the playing field.

The favorite will have a minus (-) next to its point spread and must win by more points than the spread to win the bet. The underdog will have a plus (+) next to its point spread and must win outright or lose by fewer points than the spread to win the bet. Learn more with our point spread guide.

Moneyline

The moneyline is the most common way to bet on low-scoring sports like baseball, hockey, and soccer. It’s also the easiest bet type to understand as you’re simply picking who you think will win the game or match.

When the odds screen is set to American odds, the moneyline favorite will have a minus (-) before the odds, while the underdog will usually be indicated by a plus (+). Learn more with our moneyline guide and calculate how much money you can win using our moneyline calculator.

Over/Unders

Over/Under or totals betting allows you to bet on the combined number of points, runs, or goals scored in a game. Oddsmakers will set a predicted total for a game, and you can bet whether the final score will add up to more (Over) or less (Under) points than that total. Learn more with our Over/Under guide.
