SEC teams have key players sitting out of meaningless bowl games because they don't want to risk injury before huge NFL contracts. SEC will win another championship like usual.

All teams have players sitting out. That is no excuse. Besides, after the top two or three teams, SEC teams don't have anymore NFL prospects than any other teams.

Agree with everything you said Brother ..
However the talking heads hype the SEC as elite and everyone else as chasers without a real shot ...

SEC is certainly flexing its muscles now, as it is looking to be an all SEC Championship game.
I'm not a fan of any specific team or conference, but for anyone to suggest that the SEC isn't the best conference year in and year out, is looking through some terribly biased eyes ... and that goes for this year as well.
Saying "if you took Bama out ..... " is absurd, as Bama is in the SEC.
Take the best team out of any conference and that conference doesn't look the same.
Gauging a conference by a single seasons bowl records is terribly flawed with the opt-outs, transfer portals, and Covid situation.
I do understand the hate for the SEC ... same as the Yankees in baseball, or any team in any sport which has had a lot of success over a long period of time. Jealousy breeds strong feelings. It's ok, go ahead and hate the SEC, everyone has that right, but to argue that they are not the best???
Stop. Please stop

In the last 20 years the SEC will have won 13 National Championships.
If Georgia wins this year, that would make 5 different teams who have won a title representing the SEC.
No other conference has had more than 2 different teams win a title in that time frame.
Since 2010 the SEC has 123 first round draft picks in the NFL.
Next closest conference is the ACC with 60.
Last year the SEC had 65 players drafted, which was 50% more than the next highest conference.
Look for those numbers to continue in the next draft, in this "down year" for the SEC

If other conferences had good teams we would not have an all SEC championship game, but they dont.

I guess they stink so much, one of them will be national champs, and another one will be runner up - how atrocious! What a crappy conference!

@Doja45
Yes, can't argue against those two. Look out for Kentucky tomorrow too, think they take down Iowa, a conference championship game participant.

The top of the sec is unmatched, tonight's matchups and lines were an absolute joke. Bama line was OK and I was Pounding either sec team at 14 or better. When UGA came out at -6.5 I nearly fell out of my chair. The bowls that really matter to the sec just started tonight. At full strength without all the opt outs sec is far and away the best conference. I guess you could say the big is close since they have more above avg teams. But put Cincinnati and mich in the sec and they'd prob be in bowls at about the taxslayer caliber. I'm a Miami fan and have zero sec ties. But I watch football and take emotion and feelings out of it... so it was clear to me that Cincinnati and Michigan didn't belong on the same field tonight as them sec boys. Vegas does give gifts from time to time.... at least next week we get to see a highly competitive game.

Think the sec has another good day tomorrow and we see Kentucky , Arkansas, and ole miss win
Ole miss the one I feel least confident I would say

Heard on the local news legal sports gambling online is coming to NY just before the Superbowl...and weed as soon as April. Already saw some DraftKings commericals - funny how my interest in sports betting is at its lowest right when it becomes legal.. Haven't been to Seneca since week 7 - I watch a little NBA or NFL or a bowl game, and the only thing I think is how happy I am not to have action.

If you compare whole conferences, I think B10 is as good or better. SEC is better 1-2 but B10 is better 3-7 (IMO). Bottom halves are probably pretty equal

Entertaining? I wouldn’t consider two blowouts to be entertaining at all. It was great for my pocket with these no sweat games but it definitely wasn’t entertaining. Tenn/Purdue was fun to watch and I believe todays games will be too as they are more evenly matched than the top tier SEC teams.

If you took the best SEC team and pitted them against the best BIG10 team, and then pitted the 2nd best SEC team against the 2nd best BIG10 team and so on, you'd play 12 games and I would guess the SEC would win 8 of those.

How'd the rest of the conference do in the bowls ??
Real easy to beat your chest when your 7 and 13 point chalks
