Well, this is anticlimactic.

It might not be tonight, but barring the greatest comeback NBA basketball has ever seen, the Boston Celtics will be hoisting the Larry O’Brien trophy.

That means we’re down to our last NBA betting days. With this potentially our last stab at this until next year, our NBA picks are fixing to put up a better fight than the Dallas Mavericks have so far.

Check out the props we chose to roll into our NBA Finals Game 4 same-game parlay.

Mavericks vs Celtics parlay picks June 14

  • Jaylen Brown Over 4.5 assists
  • Jrue Holiday Over 1.5 threes made
  • Luka Doncic Under 32.5 points

Best Mavericks vs Celtics parlay picks for Friday

NBA parlay pick

Jaylen Brown Over 4.5 assists

Jrue Holiday Over 1.5 threes made

Luka Doncic Under 32.5 points

Another strong performance and the Finals MVP is a virtual lock for Boston’s Jaylen Brown

He torched the Mavericks for 30 points in Game 3’s 106-99 win, adding eight boards and eight assists — and it was his aggressiveness in transition that fouled out Luka Doncic with over four minutes to play.

Brown’s scoring line is risky at 24.5, as Boston’s “everyone eats” offense fluctuates, but there’s always opportunities for playmaking, especially as the Celtics can get Dallas into rotation.

He’s had 15 assists over the last two games, and with a line of 4.5 dimes Friday, it’s a low number to be topped by the Finals’ top performer.

Jrue Holiday has put in the work to claim his second career NBA Finals crown, though Game 3 was his first low-output offensive performance, finishing with nine points, five rebounds, and four assists.

No matter: Boston is deep, and his work in pestering Luka and Kyrie Irving, while not exactly stat measurable, has been lights out.

Holiday doesn’t need to be an offensive dynamo, but his 3-point hit rate is good enough to warrant a flier in Game 4, especially with a low 1.5 number.

He’s hit at least two triples in five of the last seven games, and 10 times overall in the playoffs. It’s almost a given Holiday will get his fair share of clean looks from distance, and he’s hitting at a 40% clip.

Let’s wrap with Luka, who will try to avoid a sweep in his first Finals foray.

He looks worn down, the result of being hounded by a fleet of top-flight defenders, who have been able to defend him straight up, forcing Luka to be a high-volume scorer, rather than the all-around genius we’re accustomed to.

The thing is, it’s also been harder to score for him, as evidenced by his rough 11-for-27 shooting night in Game 3. That 40.7% clip is the second-worst number he’s put up over the last 10.

I don’t think there’s any magic formula here to turn it around. Doncic has yet to top 33 points in a game this series, and Boston’s D will keep it that way again.
