My analysis
It hasn’t been an easy season for the Dallas Wings. Injuries to Satou Sabally and Natasha Howard have hurt the Wings, leaving Dallas searching for answers during this seven-game losing streak.
One of the bright spots for Dallas has been the play of guard Arike Ogunbowale. The 27-year-old guard is second in the WNBA in scoring and coming off a horrible shooting night at home against Connecticut.
The Sun guards hounded, pestered, and half-court trapped Ogunbowale into a miserable 2-for-15 from the field and 1-for-6 from downtown. The quicker Connecticut guards frustrated the Wings' leading scorer, but that may not be the case tonight against the Minnesota Lynx.
The Minnesota backcourt of Kayla McBride and Courtney Williams aren’t the quickest guards on the planet, nor are they very good individual defenders. The Lynx likely won't guard her the full length of the court the way Connecticut did on Saturday.
That should give Ogunbowale all the room she needs to work her magic. The Wings guard is shooting 35% from the floor and 31% from downtown this season and we should expect Ogunbowale to be more aggressive tonight. McBride and Williams combine for a -27 on the defensive end of the floor and that won’t work against the WNBA’s second-leading scorer.

I expect a bounceback for Ogunbowale after her Saturday afternoon stinker, but I also expect a better shooting night for Lynx guard Kayla McBride and for Minnesota forward Napheesa Collier to keep doing her thing.
McBride is a 49% shooter from downtown and shot only 1-6 in the Lynx victory over the Sparks. McBride has cleared 2.5 triples in three of her last five and should get enough looks against a Dallas side allowing 22 attempts from downtown.
Meanwhile, Collier is the straw that stirs the drink for Minnesota. She’s cleared 21.5 points in three of her last five and should do so again; Dallas allows a league-worst 41 points per game in the paint and Collier should eat big tonight.
