My analysis
The Dallas Wings were on the short list of WNBA teams that might dethrone two-time defending champs Las Vegas, but injuries to forwards Natasha Howard and Satou Sabally have put the Wings in a tough spot.
Sabally suffered a shoulder injury in a pre-Olympic qualifier for her native Germany, but the Howard injury really stung the already shorthanded Wings. As a result, Dallas has the league's second-worst record and has dropped six straight heading into Saturday.
One of the bright spots during this tough season has been the play of guard Arike Ogunbowale — her 26.2 points per night is second in the W but she has cleared this mark only three times across her last 10 and has a tough matchup Saturday against the underrated Connecticut Sun backcourt of Tyasha Harris and DiJonai Carrington.
The Sun is a +18.0 across 287 minutes with the Harris/Carrington duo on the floor. According to Synergy, Harris allows 0.752 points per possession while Carrington allows her defensive assignment to score 0.763 points per possession.
Those numbers place the Sun duo in the top 20% defensively. Ogunbowale is an elite scorer, but facing Harris, Carrington and the rest of the Sun defense might prove difficult. She’s a 32% shooter from downtown facing Connecticut defense allowing 30% from downtown and if she beats Carrington and Harris to the cup, she’ll be dealing with the likes of DeWanna Bonner, Alyssa Thomas, and Brionna Jones. The Wings guard will get her buckets, just not enough to clear her scoring prop.

The Dallas frontcourt has struggled since losing Sabally and Howard. Keeping Ogunbowale from going off will help the Sun not only win this game but the banged-up frontcourt should call for Jones to have a big scoring night.
Jones has cleared her scoring prop in six of her last 10 games. Dallas allows a league-worst 40 points per night in the paint–this is where Jones eats, and she scored 22 points in their last meeting because of the Wings weakened frontcourt and could be in for another monster scoring night.
The Sun is 11-1 and a perfect 4-0 as the away team. They have far too much firepower to not win this game against the league's second-worst team with a 1-4 mark at College Center.
