Minnesota Lynx forward Napheesa Collier and guard Kayla McBride developed a chemistry this winter that helped lead Turkish powerhouse Fenerbahce to the Euro League championship.
That chemistry has carried over into their WNBA season, and my WNBA picks and Sparks vs. Lynx predictions expect McBride and the Lynx to have huge nights against the Los Angeles Sparks when the Lynx host the Sparks on Friday, June 14.

My analysis
Chemistry matters in professional team sports and that’s something the Minnesota Lynx has an abundance of.
Tuesday night showcased that chemistry completely; the Lynx became the first WNBA team to have all five starters score at least 14 points, snag a minimum of four caroms, and make at least one 3-pointer in the same game.
That chemistry is the primary factor in Minnesota being the best shooting team from inside and outside the arc–their league-high 25 dimes per night has led to wide-open looks and four Lynx players are draining 41% or better from downtown.
It doesn’t stop there. The team chemistry has extended over to their defense. The Lynx are second in steals and top the W in opponent field goal and three-point percentage. They’ll be more than a handful for the Los Angeles Sparks to deal with.
The Sparks are young and play better at home than on the road. They’ve won their last two home games but run out of the Seattle gym because they commit more turnovers on the road than anyone else (17.5) and the 11th most points allowed (87.2) in their road kits.
Los Angeles doesn’t have the firepower on offense, nor do they have the defense to keep Minnesota from hanging a big number on the Sparks. Minnesota is a better team in every aspect, and they are 5-1-0 ATS at home and 4-1-0 against the number as the favorite. The Sparks boast the worst three-point shooting defense in the W (39.7%), are 2-3-0 ATS as the away team, and won’t find much success tonight against Minnesota on either end of the floor.

Minnesota beat L.A. last week by 26 points in Los Angeles, but Kayla McBride was ice cold from downtown and I expect a bounce-back performance tonight.
The Lynx's unselfishness is why McBride drains a league best 51% of her triple attempts. She’s cleared this number in three of her past five home tilts and should get enough open looks tonight against the Sparks to clear her prop number against the league's worst three-point shooting defense.
