Ons Jabeur vs Marketa Vondrousova match prediction

Let’s get one thing straight here: Marketa Vondrousova can absolutely win this match. She’s met Jabeur twice this year, and in both matches she’s emerged victorious. She outlasted Jabeur at the Australian Open, dominating for most of the contest in a 6-1, 5-7, 6-1 win. She saw her again at Indian Wells and finished her off in two sets. Now, she gets to play on what’s arguably a more preferable surface.

Vondrousova has finishing power from the left side and has really been improving drastically on faster courts over the last few years. She’s gone 21-8 on outdoor hardcourts over the last two seasons and is now 8-1 on the grass with some impressive wins here at Wimbledon.

I think the younger Vondrousova has a lot of talent and just hasn’t showcased it with any sort of consistency over the years. She’s going to come in here with a boatload of confidence and should be able to emerge victorious. Jabeur has faltered in the biggest matches of her career and I think she will crumble under the pressure.

Ons Jabeur vs Marketa Vondrousova best bet

One thing I’m really worried about here for Jabeur is fatigue. She’s spent so much time on court this tournament and has had to dig incredibly deep to beat a murderer’s row of opponents in the last four matches. She’s gone the distance in three of those and has had to come back from a set down in each of those three-setters as well.

While it’ll take a lot out of you physically, it’ll also take a lot out of you mentally. There will be some semblance of fatigue in Jabeur’s head, but there’s also a chance that she lets her guard down against a lower-ranked opponent and extends the match.

With the head-to-head this year being very lopsided, I think there’s an outside chance Vondrousova wins in two sets and cashes the over. With that, I see a lot of value in taking the game spread in what should be a tight three-set match.

I do see plenty of value in grabbing the moneyline straight up, but the game spread is the far safer option.
