Texas Tech vs Duke Sweet 16 props

While Duke is known more for its offense this season, the defense actually matches up very well against Texas Tech for tonight’s contest.

The Blue Devils don't force many turnovers but they also don't foul opponents at a high rate, either. won’t force turnovers but Duke has been able to limit foul shots at a very high rate this season. Duke should also limit the Red Raiders on the perimiter in this game.

Texas Tech is shooting just 32.2% from beyond the arc while Duke is allowing teams to shoot just 31.9% from deep on the year. Plus inside, Texas Tech is shooting 55% but should be held to a lower number than that knowing Duke has allowed opponents to shoot just 46.4% inside the arc — a Top-50 mark in the nation.

Tonight’s game is going to be a defensive showcase and Duke will force Texas Tech into some bad shots, keeping them Under its team total of 68.5.

PICK: Texas Tech team total Under 68.5 (-120 at DraftKings)

Just like last season, Kevin Obanor is playing his best ball in March.

Obanor, a former Oral Roberts star, is now in the Sweet 16 for the second straight season. While he’s only averaging 5.4 rebounds per game on this season, he's more than doubled that mark to 13 boards per game inside the NCAA Tournament.

He's been dominant on the offensive glass throughout the year and should be able to take advantage of a Duke team that's strugged at times on the defensive glass. Texas Tech is grabbing 33.1% of offensive rebounds on the season and Obanor is the main contributor.

Expect him to go off on the glass again tonight.

PICK: Kevin Obanor Over 6.5 rebounds (-120 at bet365)

There won’t be a whole lot of scoring in this game but Duke's Wendell Moore Jr. should still get his playmaking opportunities.

Moore is averaging 4.6 assists per game this season and has averaged five assists per game in the NCAA Tournament. Moore has an assist rate of 22.8% and is a guy that Coach K is comfortable leaving in for most or all of the game if needed.

He's an upperclassman on a team filled with freshmen and sophomores. Moore Jr. will be relied upon to find his team quality looks against one of the best defenses in the nation, making him a good bet to Over his assist total.

PICK: Wendell Moore Jr. Over 4.5 assists (-105 at DraftKings)
