@TGreene2171 @jpitty Agree completely. Penix played bad. He had guys running wide open down the field and never saw them. I’m sure he was playing a little scared because of the moment and from getting hit by Michigans defense but it wasn’t a good look. How about that BS holding call on a deep completion when they were only down 7 I think early 4th quarter that ruined that drive? I thought that ultimately did them in.

Honestly, I did not see tons of pressure on penix... Only one really exciting sack unlike UM vs alabama.. Penix was not running for his life like Millroe (name?)... Anyone have advanced stats on pressure rate? Hard to tell on TV but I would say UM pass coverage was the story of the UM defense.. #6 was a huge recruit and looked great... Did UM go to bigger DBs to counter-act OHS? And then did it just happen to help them vs. UW? Was going to whine about reffing but 2 of 3 best UW pass plays were defensive PI, 1 of which was nullified by holding... Crowd noise hurt US Was going to address Penix play but almost meaningless once the early damage was done on defense
jim good points and don’t forget how many wide open throws including in the end zone Penix missed on their first drive and another touchdown missed to Odunze that’s 14 scratched right there. Good points from everyone

Great point. Watch/compare this video of Colt Brennan against Georgia in the 2007 Sugar Bowl. This guy got slaughtered.

Penix didn't take one hit anywhere near these. I watched him on every play in both Oregon games as well as Texas. He can throw a dart through a pinhole.
Last night he was making sure everyone knew how much his "injuries" hurt.
