got hurt in practice, before the game, during the week, etc? He wasn't asked to throw downfield at all, missed a couple wide open plays by a mile. Somebody saw something for the line to jump like that and for him to look awful. The truth will tell.

@Espn80000
Just the matchup up front and the UM secondary as well. This wasn’t particularly difficult to see coming although did think UW would score more than that… even the one TD was a battle

I don’t know what was going on, but he didn’t look anywhere near the player he was last week. I’m not willing to say that Michigan’s defense was anything special. His throws were off and most of Washington’s issues were self inflicted.
Washington’s defense played hard, but if your offense can’t score, eventually the defense is going to falter late. Strange game all around.

Maybe he's in with the fix,? I mean if I know I wouldn't go into the NFL, I would. Remember the Hawaii football team scandal? Their QB went to play in little league football. What he's doing now that I don't dare to know.

Not sure he would fix this game probably just cost him a bunch of NFL money , so unless it was a hefty bag I don’t think he’d risk that. But was kind of fishy. Although this moment is still a lot bigger than any he was in.

lololololololol
no. OMG that's like the worst take here.
UM pressured him far more than any team this year and took away his deep targets. this was just excellent defense from Michigan, and that's saying a lot considering how good the Wash OLine is.
it wouldnt also be surprising if the big stage/bright lights got to UDub players including Penix. Michigan had been there before and knew what to expect. Experience matters and Harbaugh + staff + players were just the much better team

If Texas A and M came up with 60 or 70 million to buy out there X coach, pretty sure Michigan could buy a championship.Something about that game didnt look right your down and run they the clock down before he would hike the ball.Seldom used receiver with score 20 to 13 gets the ball throwed to him on like 3rd and 4 out of the backfield. Game on the line none of your elite receivers couldnt get open.Misses Odunze for 45yard touchdown easy wide open touchdown then miss Polk by 2 feet 20 yard toss Commentor says that is a play he makes 99 percent of the time.He dont his PROP yds for passing Odunze for anytime td plus yards Polk hit neither of his.Vegas cleaned house every body betting at home lost there ass that took WASHINGTON and feel like they got a half ass effort

Agree completely. Penix played bad. He had guys running wide open down the field and never saw them. I’m sure he was playing a little scared because of the moment and from getting hit by Michigans defense but it wasn’t a good look. How about that BS holding call on a deep completion when they were only down 7 I think early 4th quarter that ruined that drive? I thought that ultimately did them in.

Honestly, I did not see tons of pressure on penix... Only one really exciting sack unlike UM vs alabama.. Penix was not running for his life like Millroe (name?)... Anyone have advanced stats on pressure rate?
Hard to tell on TV but I would say UM pass coverage was the story of the UM defense.. #6 was a huge recruit and looked great... Did UM go to bigger DBs to counter-act OHS? And then did it just happen to help them vs. UW?
Was going to whine about reffing but 2 of 3 best UW pass plays were defensive PI, 1 of which was nullified by holding... Crowd noise hurt US
Was going to address Penix play but almost meaningless once the early damage was done on defense

Good point on the experience... A lot of false starts and/or bizarre holds (beaten badly and bad ref calls) suggest crowd noise was factor
Didn't think UM had amazing pressure on Penix but certainly couldn't stand there like a statue
Wish penix had simply thrown it deep more. So much pi called, ironically sometimes with right (too tight) coverage, like under thrown ball)

If you were 24 years old with two bad legs no chance of making the big money in the pros 5 to 10 million cash would look pretty good.scatter the ball to your worst receivers run the clock down every snap throw the ball up for grabs equals 2 interceptions have misses on a couple of wide open passes to your play makers and MICHIGAN has a title. But we know MICHIGAN or HARBAUGH would not cheat.
