Two teenagers have torn up the record book as the US Open. Raducanu is the first English player to reach a major singles final in 44 years while this matchup will be the first ‘U20’s’ final since Martina Hingis faced Serena Williams in 1999 — and those two have a staggering 29 majors between them.

Emma Raducanu betting breakdown

Raducanu recorded another unbelievable performance in the semifinal, continuing her streak of nine consecutive victories without dropping a set.

Raducanu’s game has tremendous upside. Her serve is technically clean and her forehand is excellent, and both are crucial shots that are repeatable under pressure.

On her chances in the final, Raducanu said, "Is there any expectation? I'm a qualifier so technically there's no pressure on me." She’s remained extremely grounded throughout this run and it will be fascinating to see if she can maintain that composure during Saturday’s final.

Leylah Annie Fernandez betting breakdown

While Raducanu’s path to the final has been swift, Fernandez has taken the scenic route, beating Osaka, Kerber, Svitolina & Sabalenka in deciding sets, holding her nerve and producing her game when it mattered most.

Fernandez’s adjustments on serve in the semifinal show her immense maturity and tennis IQ. She started serving to the Sabalenka forehand rather than backhand, while also constantly mixing up the speeds/spins to deprive Sabalenka of rhythm.

She loves these conditions, her ability to absorb pace and redirect it is reminiscent of Angelique Kerber, and while her serve isn’t huge, her placement is excellent and the angles she can craft are extremely difficult to counter.

These two have experienced numerous career-defining moments this week, both have handled various high-pressure scenarios with poise. Raducanu has sailed through the draw without dropping a set and showing few nerves, while Fernandez has played clutch tennis to knock out four Top-20 players.

Both are aggressive baseliners. This will be the first left-hander Raducanu has faced in New York but her 8-1 record against lefties bodes well, as she has the footwork and backhand to deal with the natural trajectory of a left-handers forehand into a right-handers backhand wing.

One previous meeting at the Wimbledon juniors event holds little significance now, both bring huge intensity and the crispness of their movement and ball striking makes for a fascinating final.
