Just two men remain in the single’s draw at the Australian Open, and they’re set to renew what’s been a somewhat storied rivalry.
Stefanos Tsitsipas and Novak Djokovic will meet for the 13th time on tour, and this one will either anoint a new Grand Slam champion or bring Djokovic, a sizable Australian Open odds favorite, to 22 titles.

Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Novak Djokovic match prediction
I really don’t know if we’ve ever seen a better version of Novak Djokovic, at least in the last five or so years. For starters, he had the most titles on tour last year, despite playing in just 11 tournaments, and would have finished just a few points shy of World No. 1 had he earned ranking points at Wimbledon.
Then, there’s the issue of this tournament. Djokovic came in with some serious questions about his hamstring, and aside from a brief moment in his match against Enzo Couacaud, he’s answered them all and then some.
Djokovic not only has been able to remain dominant in the few moments he’s looked vulnerable due to the hamstring, but he’s actually looked a heck of a lot better than he’s ever looked at a Grand Slam in general.
To this point, Djokovic has dropped just the one set to Couacaud, which can even just be chalked up to a poor tape job from the physio which the 21-time Grand Slam champ seemed irritated by.
In years past, we’ve seen Djokovic drop sets to so-so opponents and battle through injuries to the point where it looks like he may have to withdraw from the tournament. This year, it’s been nothing but business – and that has been how Djokovic has operated for the last year.
Prediction: Novak Djokovic moneyline (-450 at BetMGM)
Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Novak Djokovic best bet
I’m confident Djokovic will win. He knows how to solve problems and if he runs into one, he should be able to find a way through Stefanos Tsitsipas as he did the last nine times he played him.
I do think Tsitsipas will take a set. He’s simply playing at too high of a level this week, crushing his serve and forehand and moving into the net with relentless pursuit.
That leaves me with the below wager. I think the safe money is on Djokovic pulling this out given what we’ve established, but it will hardly be easy.
The Over is inflated and may not even cash in a four-set match. The spread is a dicey suggestion, with a blowout Djokovic set on the table. Play it safer.
