The semifinal of the CBI features a matchup between two teams that both saw their season end to teams that reached the March Madness bracket.
The Seattle Redhawks lost three consecutive games to end the regular season before losing to Grand Canyon in the WAC tournament semis. Meanwhile, the Fairfield Stags won five of their last six and eight of their last 10 games in the regular season before losing to St. Peter’s in the MAAC tournament final.

Seattle vs Fairfield best odds
Seattle vs Fairfield picks and predictions
In order to win games, Fairfield relies heavily on its 3-point shooting. The Stags rank 38th nationally in 3-point attempts at 25.5 per game and 37th in 3-point shooting percentage at 36.6%.
However, the Stags are missing sharpshooter Brycen Goodine, who averaged 13.9 points per game on the season and shot 46.7% from downtown, taking the second-most attempts on the team. Goodine has yet to play at all in the CBI and is listed as questionable tonight.
In the first-round game against Little Rock, the Stags scored 82 points and shot 38% from downtown. In the second game against Chicago State, they generated 77 points and hit 36% of attempts from beyond the arc. Tonight, Fairfield faces an extremely tough test against a Seattle defense that is excellent at guarding outside shooters.
Seattle ranks 49th in three-point attempts allowed (19.1 per game) and sixth nationally, forcing opponents to shoot only 29.6% from deep. The Redhawks allowed only 22% shooting from distance in their first CBI game against Delaware State, and followed that performance up by limiting Evansville to just 57 points on Monday.
Ultimately, Seattle will control the pace on defense and force Fairfield to generate looks that aren't attempts from downtown. Combining tired legs from playing back-to-back nights sans Goodine will also present a major disadvantage for the Stags.
The Redhawks have won by double digits every game thus far in this tournament, and tonight will be no different.
My best bet: Seattle -6.5 (-115 at FanDuel)
Seattle vs Fairfield same-game parlay
With no player props available, we will keep it simple with a spread/total SGP.
Seattle not only defends the three well, but they also force bad shots in general. Opponents shoot only 41.4% from the field, which ranks 43rd nationally. They also do not allow you to get second-chance points, coming in 61st in offensive rebounds allowed (9.0 per contest).
The total is set at 145.5, and it would require around 70 points for Fairfield to get close. The Redhawks have only allowed that in four of their last 16 games.
