Four more opening-round series will get going after NBA postseason action kicked off yesterday. Only a couple of these Round 1 matchups appear to be foregone conclusions, meaning there's a ton to play for and even more to bet on.

We've done the work for you if you're looking to wager on some same-game parlays, bringing you our best SGP NBA picks for the April 21 slate below.

Today's NBA same game parlay picks

Our betting experts have scoured through today's NBA odds to find your best SGP bets for each of the four Game 1s on Saturday's playoff slate:

Heat vs Celtics same-game parlay (SGP)

Bam Adebayo Over 21. 5 points + assists

Under 209

Jayson Tatum Over 8.5 rebounds

Adebayo has already suggested that this series will be played in the mud, and it’s fair to wonder how the Heat are going to score consistently against a rock-solid Boston defense. I like the Under this afternoon, with Miami trending in that direction over the course of the season — it hit in 45 of their 82 games.

With the Heat trying to patch together a cohesive offense and the Celtics potentially needing a couple of quarters to rev up after coasting down the stretch, the Under is very much in play again, especially since these teams know each other so well.

I’m also expanding my SGP with the Over on Jayson Tatum’s rebounds. His numbers on the boards have dipped lately, but this is set to be a physical series and Boston will need Tatum’s size when Kristaps Porzingis is dragged out of the paint.

He had 10 boards in his last matchup against Miami and I see him bringing that same energy this afternoon.

Mavericks vs Clippers same-game parlay (SGP)

Luka Doncic Over 32.5 points

Paul George Over 24.5 points

James Harden Over 9.5 assists

While Doncic is set to light this game up, the Clippers have the stars to do the same against a Dallas defense that allows the 11th-most points per game in the NBA (115.6). Likely down Leonard, Paul George is the next best option.

George averaged 22.6 points this season and the Mavs allow the seventh-most points to power forwards in the NBA (24.77). It helps, too, that George will have James Harden to set him up. He led the Clips with 8.5 assists in the regular season, and Dallas gives up the ninth-most assists per game (27.5).

Pacers vs Bucks same-game parlay (SGP)

Pacers moneyline

Pacers second-quarter moneyline

Damian Lillard Under 3.5 threes

Part of the reason I think the Pacers are in a good position to win not just the second quarter, but the game, is the way they can potentially defend Lillard. While the Pacers are not known for their defense, they showed they can push their defensive ceiling quite high during the In-Season Tournament.

They also have strong personnel. Andrew Nembhard is an underrated perimeter defender and Nesmith could even take turns on Dame in a pinch.

The Pacers are also one of the few teams in the Association that will concede drives to shut off the water from behind the arc. Per Cleaning the Glass, they allow fewer opponent 3-point attempts as a portion of their offense than any team — and by a wide margin.

Pelicans vs Thunder same-game parlay (SGP)

Jonas Valanciunas Over 11.5 points

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Under 28.5 points

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Over 5.5 assists

The Thunder have a lot of ways they can attack New Orleans, but ironically Shai Gilgeous-Alexander — their top scorer and a leading candidate for MVP — is not one of their best.

That’s because the Pels start Herb Jones, a lock for one of the NBA All-Defensive teams and one of the most disciplined and gifted wing defenders in the NBA.

Jones has done a better job defensively against Shai Gilgeous-Alexander than just about any other player. SGA’s scoring average dips about five points against Jones, but his assists have jumped to seven per game as a result.

Shai’s teammates will almost always have a more advantageous matchup, so I see SGA playing more of a facilitator role on Sunday.
