Lakers vs Timberwolves handicap from earlier today:
This is a complete fade on the Lakers. Until further notice, fade fade fade them. It appears they are punting on the season and simply allowing James to stuff his stats in his quest to pass Kareem on the all time scoring list. What else does this team of has beens and rags have left to play for? They don't even have professional pride to show any resistance in their recent tailspin. It shouldn't come as a surprise if they end up completely out of the play in and fall to #11.
Meanwhile, Minnesota continues to impress and cover at home. Towns coming off an instant career highlight of 60 points, this team is clicking on all offensive cylinders. They are young, athletic, fast, and shoot 3s at a record pace with a decent %. They matchup very well versus an old, tired, haggered Lakers team.
I expect a potential 15-20 point lead for Minnesota after the 3Q, and cruise to the finish line covering the original line with ease.
Best of luck to all Timberwolves backers!

A rested Giannis should have his way versus the Bulls, as they don't have another athletic and big enough to defend him. Milwaukee will look to bounce back after a very poor effort in their last game in a blowout loss to Minnesota with Giannis getting a rest day. Also, they will look to maintain their 2nd seed in the conference, and not let the Bulls creep within one game of them.
Bulls had a nice win last night, but this back to back is a bad situational spot. Heading into Milwaukee who had a day off. Bulls have proven to win against mediocre and bad teams, but show up empty handed versus the better to elite teams. I look for that trend to continue here with a Milwaukee double digit home win
Best of luck to all Bucks backers!

Atlanta coming off a terrible loss with a complete no show in the 1Q versus the Pelicans, should result in a complete flip here. I look for the Hawks to come out like gang busters from the opening tip, get out to a sizeable lead by halftime, and then hold off the Knicks in the 4Q as they likely make one final run to get back in the game with the potential back door cover.
Randle is out, putting Toppin into the lineup for heavy minutes, however offensively Obi just has not lived up to all the hype that surrounded him coming out of college.
Trae Young was a turnover machine in his last game, and scored well below his average. I look for Young to have a huge game tonight, with a memory of him being the ultimate villain versus the Knicks in New York during last season's playoff series.
Best of luck to all Hawks backers!

Looking back over the past month and a half, all of Clippers wins have come almost exclusively against the leagues rags. On the road, many of their covers have come via the back door route with comebacks late in the 4Q during garbage time when the other team basically stopped competing knowing they locked up the win.
Denver is coming into this game following an embarrassing home loss to the Celtics. Jokic was even benched in that loss, how embarrassed must the reigning MVP and 2nd in the odds for MVP this season for being the only reigning MVP to be benched in the modern era of the NBA? Embarrassed enough to come out like a monster tonight and put up 40pts, 15 rebs, and 12 asst.
This game is all about Denver bouncing back with a premium effort, and is needed now more than ever with Minnesota just one game back of them for the all important 5th seed.
Best of luck to all Nuggets backers!

This guy clowns me for saying sports are fixed yet puts money on those teams to win it all and had GS missing the playoffs.. LOLOL ... Imagine thinking the Blazers had a chance to win the title this year... Yet the NBA wouldnt allow them to make the Finals in 2000 when they were clearly better than the Lakers.. No wonder why this guy thinks sports are real... Betting on the Blazers and Hawks to win the title, hahaha even the Mavs and Jazz have little chance.. The Bucks was the only logical pick..

This is one of those games where it would appear one team is laying down pregame with all their roster sitting. The obvious play is Miami here, isn't it?
Upon further investigation, games like these tend to favor a contrarian betting angle. No need to looknany further than Miami's last game when they lost in Philadelphia as a 8pt road favorite with both Embiid and Harden sitting out.
This game wreaks of either a backdoor cover or a full game tit for tat with Miami just not giving their full effort as they know this "should" be an easy win.
I look for all the role players for Golden State to come up with very impressive individual efforts here and keep this game within single digits for all 48 minutes.
Given how this season of insanity has gone, it wouldn't surprise me at all if Golden State won this game on a last minute shot.
Best of luck to all Warriors backers!

76ers vs Lakers handicap from earlier today before news broke of James being ruled out:
This line seems to be an overreaction tilted towards the road team only because Embiid and Harden will be playing rested. I don't buy this line for a second.
The 76ers have actually struggled to dominate and cover spreads against far worse teams than the Lakers, and I cannot see any motivation for Philadelphia to win this game by any more than the minimum required to get out of town with a win.
Meanwhile, who's to say the Lakers can't win this game straight up? LeBron has clearly shown evidence to support he alone can drag this team to win on occasion as a dog, and now it appears Westbrook has found a little more confidence in his shot and game, which was completely missing during their long pathetic losing stretch to find themselves where they are now. This is a very scary game for Philly as such a heavy road favorite, as I clearly believe the home dog is very alive and will look to bite hard all night long for a home upset win. Even if they don't win, the likelihood of losing at home by 10+ points now at the point in the season when teams are gearing themselves up mentally for the playoffs, it's just not something I see happening to Los Angeles in this game.
Best of luck to all Lakers backers!

This is the showdown for 6th seed, can the Cavs really sweep the season series here? I say no.
Cavs are nowhere the team that they were earlier in the season, they stumbled into the All Star break playing a losing brand of basketball, and they have only continued to struggle since coming out of the break. They clearly miss Jared Allen, Love is no where the player he used to be, Sexton being out has hurt them tremendously, and Garland/Mobley can only do so much on their own. The Cavs are in a tailspin down the conference standings, and I don't see them changing path tonight.
Toronto comes into this game probably steaming for playing terribly last time out versus the Bulls, although they were in a terrible back to back situational spot which their loss could've been predicted based on them winning in Philly as a road dog the night before.
Now they are well rested, and must surely come into this game with a mindset of pure focus and motivation to get the win here and draw even with Cleveland for #6 seed. They are aware Cavs will own the tiebreaker if they draw even after 82 games because they would have won the season series 3-1, thus this effectively becomes all or nothing for Toronto if they have any legitimate chance at having a better overall W/L record over the Cavs when the season ends to grab the #6 spot.
I fully expect a dominant home effort for the full 48 minutes tonight by the home team, and hopefully they don't allow the Cavs to linger anywhere close enough for a back door cover late in garbage time.
Best of luck to all Raptors backers!
