The OHIO STATE BUCKEYES are 17-1 against the spread playing on the road after a straight up loss.
Probably won't happen often with Urban Meyer the coach but worth filing away just in case.
That's an interesting angle. Do you think the 31 to 0 slaughter at the hands of Clemson will motivate them in the offseason and in week 1 against my Hoosiers. I predict a spread of about 20. Granted, they lost lose playmakers on O, their center, and 3 starting DBs, but they should be able to plug and play with 4 return OL, RB's DL's and LB, along with their great recruiting. Plus the angle of wilson calling the plays for Ohio St after being dismissed by IU. Granted, the IU D is better, though OSU still beat them by 21. And this year IU won't have Divine and their 2 top WRS. Plus, IU now has DeBord calling the plays as OC, who was less than spectacular at Tenn the last 2 seasons. Can IU play enough D to keep this close (within the number) or will Ohio State, open a can of whoop behind and get a 35 pt win...a lookahead with OU is on deck...Thanks in advance...

I would think the Buckeyes will be looking ahead to Oklahoma. I doubt Ohio State shows much on offense because of the Sooner game but it won't matter. I have Indiana in the lower tier of the conference just ahead of Illinois, Purdue, Maryland and Rutgers.
The game opened at -20 at the Golden Nugget. Not sure what the line is now but it will probably go up...especially toward game time.

The SMU MUSTANGS get smoked at the pay window each year before playing Tulsa. A money burning 0-12 against the spread. Cincinnati will fit the situation this year.

The PURDUE BOILERMAKERS have been a bettor's nightmare when playing Wisconsin losing ten out of their last eleven games against the spread. That's 1-10 ATS.
