Michigan gave up 20 points to Alabama and should have lost in the Rose Bowl. Alabama fell apart at the end in every phase of the game and gifted them the win.
Michigan gave up 24 points to Ohio State. If not for McCord's late game interception, Michigan would have lost the game and likely missed the playoffs.
Michigan has been very lucky. They were very fortunate to come away from those two games with a win.
Washington has a great offensive line that rarely allows sacks. This will be a very different offense than the one Michigan just faced.
Michigan played a very sloppy game vs Alabama. They will need to play much better to come away with a win vs a Washington team with an nfl caliber qb.

I actually go the other way on this. Michigan was the way better team and just made mistake after mistake early which cost them any shot at a substantive lead.
Then comes the Saban adjustments which outcoached Michigan and took the lead. But in the end Michigan was class and got the win and cover.
Now as to the OP, it's not that he's wrong about his views / predictions, it's that he cannot accept a scenario wherein Washington can be competitive. Plus is a punk ass bitch who talks shit and refuses to back it.

God damn this morons grammar and spelling makes my eyes bleed. Jim Harbour? Lol. Michigan opened at -3.5, they’re now -5. So not sure where you get this “everyone is on Washington” fake news narrative. Because a handful of posters on a sports forum are on same side that’s your angle to fade? Good luck on that.
Who has this vaunted Michigan defense even played? They’ve faced 2 teams all year in the top 50 in total offense: #42 - UNLV - lol, #47 - Ohio State. Alabama wasn’t even in the top 50. Good luck stopping 500 yards of total offense with dynamic athletes and the best throwing quarterback in college. Texas DL is one of the best in the country, guess how many pressures and sacks they had on Washington? 0.

Totally agree.. Michigan will win by 30. Washington has NO DEFENSE ..Washington defense ranked 90th overall in total team defense and Washington is not going to run up and down on the nations #1 defense. Ask Penn State Ohio State and Alabama.
Michigan has yet to allow any team more then 27 points all year long.
This is gong to be lopsided... Michigan 55 Washington 20
Remember what Georgia did to TCU last year?? EXACTLY

I can’t stress enough that this is the dumbest post I’ve read on these forums in a long time. This is a real special kind of stupid that you don’t see often. Here’s the top 50 offenses that WASH has faced this year:
Oregon #2 in nation: TWICE
USC #12
Arizona #20
Boise St #26
Washington St #35
Oregon St #44
Texas #9
Literally over half their games are against REAL offenses, with QBs and dimensions. Not the absolute fucking dogshit offenses Michigan has faced all year in the “run the ball in the back of the centers spine 3 times and flip the field” in the big ten. Michigan has faced 2 teams in the top 50 in total offense, UNLV - #42, Ohio St #47.
And for the record, Michigan’s offense is 70th in total offense. This will be one of the most pedestrian offenses this defense has faced this season.

Been watching college ball a long time. Washington has the best receiving corps I've ever seen. They also have one of the most accurate throwers I've ever seen. If Michigan can beat that combo, they deserve the Natty. But they better pack a lunch. Beating the Huskies won't be the cakewalk you are assuming it will be.
I thought this match-up should be a pick'em. +4.5 seems like a gift to me.

Sometimes I have a hard time biting my tongue. I don’t mind differing opinions. But this dumb fuck literally compares WASH to TCU last year, and TCU beat Michigan’s “vaunted” defense last year. At least have some substance when providing an opinion or a stance. Michigan is a good football team, well coached. There’s a lot of variables we don’t know about them though based on level of competition they’ve faced. Should be interesting to see how it plays out.

Amen bud . The only they are gonna learn is if someone stands up and
tries to point them in the right direction. You did well to respond to his
ignorance. I'm looking forward to Monday's game.
Blessings and Good Luck.

That doesn't mean shit because every game is different. Washington almost gave the game away and Michigan came back and won the the game. That is the truth of a Championship team. Go bet your $10 on the game lol. I am unloading 3k on it mf.

You aren’t betting $20 bucks on this game dipshit. With the way you type and converse you’re either typing in your Rosetta Stone translational program from a foreign country, or stupid as fuck. Over under on your wager on this game is $12.50 and I’ll take the under.

And you make a great point. Predicting a 30+ pt blowout by either team in this championship game is just dumb.
He should go back and watch some of last year's TCU games. They were one of the luckiest teams I have ever seen play college football. A lot of unbelievable comebacks. Their QB ran like a mad man. And it seemed like TCU's opponents made costly mistakes towards the end of almost every game they played.
TCUs luck factor was close to 100 during the 2022 season. And then they faced a historically good nfl caliber Georgia team and got absolutely anihilated in the championship game.
Georgia 65
TCU 7
What did Georgia do this year to FSU in the bowl game albeit vs a team of backups? And consider this once Georgia pulled their starters their backups played just as well and continued the route.
Georgia 63
FSU 3
Why did so many people back Alabama in the Rose Bowl? It wasn't homerism. The rationale was legit.
Alabama was able to beat Georgia 27-24 back in December and played an all around great game.
Harbaugh had a 1-6 record in bowl games and was 0-2 prior to the Michigan/Alabama game in the college playoffs.
Saban was 6-1 in the college football playoff semi-finals.
Even though Alabama lost I still believe they were the right side. After blowing a lead late in the 4th this Alabama team was a mere yard away from winning the game by a safety. Alabama lost that game 3x over.
Washington is no TCU. They almost seem to prefer close games and they certainly thrive in them. Penex looks like an nfl qb out there. When the game is on the line with less than 2 minutes to go I'd back a high powered offense like Washington's over a Michigan squad focused on running the ball.
