Maybe the football gods shine bright on Shanny this time. I can see this happening. If they get to that last game with a chance to win the NFC West, they will beat Seattle at home. Then they are only two wins away from hosting the SB! Super Bowl LX (60) in 2026 will be held on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

Very little rhyme or reason, at least no pattern that I can count on. |

Between the new kickoff rules, the number of rule changes/additions each year, the replays, the replay assists, the challenges, they have created so much variance that it’s nearly impossible to find an edge. Betting the NFL was already hard because turnovers often change the outcome of games, but will all these other elements tacked on, it’s like betting red or black on a roulette wheel. And even when you are on the right side, a genius coach like Andy Reid will make a huge blunder on a 4th down from his own 30 or a QB known for protecting the ball (Hurts) will cause 5 turnovers in a single game. Like I said, nearly impossible to come out ahead these days. I hate the new kickoff rule. Hate it. It creates so much variance, it’s incredible. Team gets the ball at the 40 and two plays later they are in FG range with balls that have been manipulated to increase scoring. That’s how Seattle beat Indi last week after Rivers won the game! A couple of plays. A long FG. Game over. |

Bears win. Packers have been inconsistent all year. Football gods don’t reward teams like the Packers. You didn’t want to hear a bunch of mumbo jumbo but it’s that simple. The Bears have played their a s s es off all year and either the refs or gods(same thing) will reward them for it. Then the Lions and Packers will duke it out for the last playoff spot. |

Just like yesterday, when the KC defense was playing lights out for a change and their own head coach sabotaged them. Then the damn broke. Same here. Now watch the Chargers march down the field and score 7. |

Why not run the ball and get a little closer if your kicker is garbage?
in NFL Betting This will not end well for Eagles backers. Defense spent itself giving the offense a chance and they stunk up the joint.
Two nights in a row with terrible coaching decisions and not playing complimentary football. It’s as if these offensive minded head coaches are jealous of the defense doing their job. They have to try to upstage them with ridiculous calls. The defense just gifted you 3. Run the ball for a few yards and call a time out. No. Let’s throw the f’n ball out of bounds on a nothing play and then kick a 49 yarder instead of a 45 yarder. |

Fangio going up against his old buddy and Coach Harbaugh and Greg Roman is what fascinates me most here. Who has the edge in terms of knowing what the other side likes to do on big/leverage downs and which team can execute. I don’t imagine there are many secrets between these two teams. I am also curious what you really think of this Chargers defense. They got it handed to them against the Jaguars and then dominated the hapless Raiders. Just how good is this defense and where are their weaknesses?

It was refball IMO and the outcome was massaged all game long by their calls. It cost the Ravens 11 points total. The personal foul on the Steeler center was insane (turning a FG into a Steeler TD) and the Likely catch was a TD. I so despise the Steeler organization and the Rooney family for the culeros that they are. I have my reasons. I saw that TD catch later and could not believe it was not called a touchdown. Both feet, control of the ball and defender knocks it out. Fix was in for the Steelers family and Tomlin who has been taking so much heat. But Fix was in for the Chiefs last night (they got some good calls from the refs and their o line was allowed to hold) and they could not do squat with it because their coach decided to turn into bozo the clown on national TV. Incredible. BTW, I don’t think I’m due for anything but a comeuppance. |

@ActionMagnet Can’t make this shit up. Some of the worst luck of my gambling years. Jones tears his achilles in the 1st quarter in a winnable game. The rookie QB, not even a serviceable backup, has never played before and the Colts go down in flames. KC loses two key starters five minutes into the game, then makes a heroic comeback with all the momentum in the world, with the defense vey close to make a game changing play, and Reid decides to hand the game to the Texans. The only one hurting here is me. And after Hurts and company get their asses handed to him tomorrow by the Chargers defense this thread will be the laughingstock of the forum.
Please, for the love of god, just fade me tomorrow night. I’m still on Eagles. Going down with the ship, and believe me, it is all but submerged and the gods will be sure to punish me for this thread, making sure each pick was doomed by some terrible luck. |

One of the worst decisions I have seen in my lifetime of watching football. You have all the momentum in the world. You are home. You defense is playing lights out. And you decide to be a hero where none is needed. |

I’ve been capping games by a very subjective method with success. When I get off this method, things don’t work out so well. The idea is simple: each week find the teams that are “hurting” the most. And by hurting, I mean emotionally not physically, though physical pain can lead to mental pain, and the desire to hurt someone back. Football is an emotional game. It’s also a violent game. Just throw the Xs and Os out. Throw out the weather, injuries and all the other bull shit because that’s all baked into the line. The only edge is that extra juice. That extra bit of motivation that players and coaches have going into a game. And that motivation often comes from being battered and bruised, emotionally, and wanting to take it out on your next opponent. But in order to for these hurt teams to succeed, in making their opponents feel their pain, they need a good to decent coach and also be in a favorable situation, schedule wise. Just look at what the Lions did last night to the Cowboys, after shitting the bed on Thanksgiving in front of their fans. You don’t think they were hurting? You don’t think Dallas was a little too hasty with its recent accomplishments to have the slightest of let down? Despite being decimated by injuries, which is all we heard about all week, the Lions took care of business at home in front of their fans. This week’s nominees for teams hurting the most are: The Colts got off to an amazing start this year only to run into two desperate talented teams in the Chiefs and Texans. They lost both games and now everyone is questioning them and writing them off. They have lost 10 straight in Jacksonville!!! And they are playing a Jaguars team that is far and happy after winning 3 straight! Good. Give me the team with the QB playing on one leg. Colts -1.5 The Chiefs lost to the Cowboys on Thanksgiving and lost their entire offensive line in the process and their season is all but lost. Even the public had turned on them with a majority of ATS bets on the big bad Texans and their SB defense who are fat and happy after winning several games in a row! Good. Give me the god damn Chiefs without an offensive line in a game to save their season. Last we saw the Eagles they were being booed at home and losing to the Bears in humiliating fashion. Their offensive coach had his house vandalized!! If this SB team had any dignity or pride left they will punish the Chargers in a stand alone game to make up for that putrid effort on Black Friday! Eagles -2.5 Good luck. |

Is it just me or do yellow nearly flags determine the cover of 75% of games played.
in NFL Betting I stayed away from the game because I knew it would come down to a call or two and who the league wanted. They know Dallas has the easier schedule and can win out and get to 10 wins. Detroit plays the Rams next week and if they lost this one it was going to be over for them. |

For what it’s worth “Since becoming the 49ers' head coach in 2017, Kyle Shanahan's record before the bye week is 25–37(.403 winning percentage). This contrasts with the team's strong performance after the bye, which has been a remarkable 43–18 (.705 winning percentage).” |

@ChOmP lol. The guy is 5’9 has small hands, can’t play in weather and the only time he was actually good was when the team was stacked. Look at his last 10 games from last season and the first 4 this season. He is below average. Shanahan can scheme it up with the best of them and they should have used that money on put talent around an average QB instead of paying an average QB top money to make average players better. |
