Other than playing against the posted spread.....
Why are teams going for 2 pt. conversions when down by 2 touchdowns? Example 1. Jacksonville was down by 14 points, they score a TD and go for the 2 pt. conversion. They failed and lose by 8. In a hypothetical world where they score another touchdown, they are forced to go for 2, just to tie. From a logical standpoint, this puts more pressure on the team than just kicking the extra point and only needing 7 points to tie. Example 2. Cincinnati is down by 14 points, they scored a TD and also go for 2 pt. conversion. They make it, thus only being down 6. Same thinking miss it and add more pressure. Make it and win with a TD?
It seems to me, that based on closing lines, this line of thinking can only tell me that these moves can only effect teaser betters. In the Jags game line was +1. A 6pt. tease losses and a 7pt. tease pushes. In the Bengals situation +14, If you tease GB down the 6 and 7 pt. teasers are losers. I have been watching and gambling on football for over 40 years. The 2 pt. conversion has been around a long time and I have never seen it come in to play more when down by 2 tds than this year, and today in particular. Other than mushing teasers, what is the logic behind this?

Tempo favors Wazzu; better quarterback, explosive edges outside. Taking points versus shaky North Texas.
in College Football Back in the swing of things and glad to see you're still in the game..

Man this has been tough. Baker has completed 2 passes where the receiver was tackled on the 1 yard line. He is having a great start, we just need these receivers to finish.

Very Undisciplined. Cam is very talented but makes poor decisions under pressure. This team plays in a nail biter week in and week out and they seem to play down to their competition. They have not played a ranked team yet. Playoffs will be a different story.
