 Agree, and a lot of teams are going to look good playing the NYG this year. This game shouldn't be used to kid yourselves about the value of the Chiefs team. In my opinion, they were mediocre last year, but the "record-setting", shady close game victories last year got the NFL whatever market share Taylor Swift was going to get them. When there was nothing more to be gained by the Mahomes/Officials love affair, they got annihilated in the Super Bowl.

And when will they realize the Chiefs are just throwing the ball towards Phillips (#22). He's a one-man team killer.

Is there a need for the cheap shot at Vanzack here ? Why ? For just one week could we have a truce on the negativity ?

And I believe he went after MrBator, a legendary handicapper, until he simply walked away for an extended period. The list is endless. We know the site can do whatever they want. They've proven that, without any regard for simple decency and respect for users. So we know they can keep the guy around; the question is why they would want to.

Thanks, Stu. Right back 'atcha. In less than 10 years, you've become the conscience of this God-forsaken site. Stay on them, my friend. But be careful. You will not be able to predict just when you have become too much of a nuisance to them. I've watched you be more bold than they like. On this site, you need to remember the words of Alan Price :

 Hello, Van--Always a pleasure to see your name here. I must admit, after last year, I wondered whether you would be back. As you say, why post selections based on voluminous amounts of work when it's no fun, and so many fail to appreciate the effort ? You make no money; we do. My kid, and the local animal shelter, have had many "enhanced" Christmas seasons thanks to you. But the hate has to take a toll. And, throw in Covers legendary refusal to offer even a modicum of protection to its most successful handicappers, combined with its medieval approach to technology, and we understand why we lose the greats. Totally understandable.

Having said that, why, then, am I posting this comment ? First, I wanted to touch base. Period. However, I do have an ulterior motive. It's based on both greed and altruism. For decades, decades, you have made money for hundreds of people on this site with your hard work and betting acumen. I believe most of us are grateful. We express our gratitude by respecting your wishes that we donate to local animal shelters. I know for a fact that many of us do. If I'm right, you are singularly responsible for the well-being and life enrichment of untold numbers of animals. And, yes, you're helping people like me make money. So I'm asking that you reconsider. The smartest handicappers are open-minded about changing their minds. A lot of us would appreciate if you'd consider it, while understanding whatever decision you make.

Thank you, Johnny. I haven't been able to be active for a while, but I enjoy your posts in the ClubDirt Memorial thread. I was headed to that when I noticed the headline  bravely saying "F you" to a man whose time on this Earth had expired. Then, when I began reading, I noticed a Covers veteran of over 20 years with nearly 10,000 posts, apparently BANNED for uttering a sexual reference in the Penalty Box of all places. I didn't need to be an avid Covers reader to know where that came from. The more things change, the more they remain the same.

Mr. Brazen--It appears you have created the ultimate dilemma for the person who exists to ban people. On the one hand, he needs to ban you to achieve that rarely experienced feeling of superiority. But, you are asking to be banned; in fact, demanding it. Banning you would be acknowledging your superiority. Oh, the humanity !

I will be watching this system closely.

Why do you think you can end a controversy that has raged for decades and has only gotten worse with the partnership between Roger Goodell and the gaming conglomerates ? The league hires inept, weak-willed flunkies, produces shady results every week and you simply think it's going to stop because you say so ? not happening.
