Seth Jarvis had a goal and two assists as the Carolina Hurricanes withstood a shaky middle stretch of the game to defeat the Anaheim Ducks 6-3 on Thursday night in Raleigh, N.C.

Jordan Martinook and Stefan Noesen both posted a goal and an assist and Brady Skjei, Andrei Svechnikov and Jack Drury also scored for the Hurricanes, who have a seven-game points streak (6-0-1). Teuvo Teravainen provided two assists.

The Hurricanes lost goalie Pyotr Kochetkov with 7:05 to play in the second period when he was knocked over by Isac Lundestrom during a play in the crease. The score was tied 3-3, and Antti Raanta entered.

Just 35 seconds later, Noesen redirected the puck for his 11th goal of the season, putting Carolina in front for good. Raanta stopped all three shots he faced for the victory.

Lundestrom, Ryan Strome and Frank Vatrano provided Anaheim's goals. John Gibson stopped 21 shots through two periods before exiting in favor of Lukas Dostal, who stopped eight shots in the third.

The Hurricanes had the only 12 shots on goal for the first 15 minutes, but they didn't score until their 13th and 14th shots.

Skjei scored first, followed 15 seconds later by Svechnikov for a 2-0 lead. Of Svechnikov's 10 goals, nine have come in the past 10 games.

Lundestrom's first goal of the season came in his fifth game just 25 seconds into the second period, halving Anaheim's deficit.

Carolina restored a two-goal lead less than 90 seconds later when Martinook, who was appearing in his 600th NHL game, skated alone in the slot and sent the puck past Gibson. It was his third goal of the season but second in four games.

Strome and Vatrano had goals in a 47-second stretch near the midway mark of the second period. Vatrano scored off the first faceoff of a man advantage for his 20th of the season, tying the score 3-3.

Noesen then put Carolina back on top.

Drury, who was plastered into the boards on a sequence that resulted in a Carolina power play, scored on the Hurricanes' extra-man situation for his seventh goal of the season to make it 5-3 at 16:41 of the second.
