Travis Konecny scored the game-winner and Morgan Frost added a goal and an assist as the Philadelphia Flyers edged the visiting Calgary Flames 3-2 on Saturday afternoon.

Sean Couturier had the other goal and Carter Hart made 22 saves as the Flyers, who halted a four-game skid, won for just the second time in eight games.

Jonathan Huberdeau and MacKenzie Weegar scored for Calgary, which saw its three-game winning streak end. Jacob Markstrom stopped 39 shots.

Konecny gave the Flyers its first lead on a short-handed breakaway, beating Markstrom glove-side for his team-leading 21st goal of the season at 2:27 of the third.

The Flyers are first in the league with 10 short-handed goals, and Konecny, who extended his point streak to seven games, is tied for the league lead with five short-handed goals.

Calgary thought it had tied it 3-3 with 6:38 remaining as Noah Hanifin's shot beat Hart, but Flames forward Connor Zary was assessed an interference penalty on the play.

The Flyers outshot the Flames 24-10 in the middle frame, but the two sides were tied 2-2 after 40 minutes.

Huberdeau opened the scoring at 1:55 of the second period, on a partial break, going bar down on Hart for his sixth goal of the season.

Frost responded for the Flyers at 4:15, putting home the rebound off Sean Walker's point shot for Frost's sixth of the season.

Weegar gave Calgary its second lead of the period when his backhand shot got past Hart at 9:13 for his ninth of the season. With his assist on the goal, Blake Coleman extended his point streak to four games.

Philadelphia tied it 2-2 on Couturier's power-play goal with 3:54 remaining in the second as the Flyers forward banked a shot off Markstrom and in for his 10th of the season.

Philadelphia outshot Calgary 9-8 in a scoreless first period.

Calgary edged Philadelphia 4-3 last Sunday in the only other meeting between the two clubs this season.
