Damon Severson and Jake Bean each scored one goal in regulation and Daniil Tarasov stopped all three shots in a shootout as the Columbus Blue Jackets rallied to defeat the host Philadelphia Flyers 3-2 on Thursday.

Tarasov made 39 saves through regulation and overtime.

Travis Konecny scored two goals for the Flyers, who have lost four in a row (0-2-2).

Joel Farabee and Sean Couturier contributed two assists each. Goaltender Samuel Ersson stopped 26 shots.

Neither team generated much offense in overtime, and the Blue Jackets dominated the shootout. Johnny Gaudreau scored on Columbus' first chance.

Couturier, Bobby Brink and Tyson Foerster were all denied in the shootout for Philadelphia.

The Flyers took a 2-0 lead at 4:29 of the third period as Konecny skated and somehow tucked the puck under the pads of Tarasov. It was Konecny's 20th goal of the season.

Columbus quickly cut the deficit in half when Severson scored at 5:24.

The Blue Jackets then tied it at 2-2 at 10:20 when Bean redirected a wrist shot by Jack Roslovic in front.

After a 10-minute drought without a shot on goal, the Flyers went ahead 1-0 at 17:12 of the first period when Konecny connected. Konecny, named to his second All-Star Game, has a six-game point streak.

The Flyers were soon awarded a two-man advantage for 1:59 but weren't able to capitalize. Mathieu Olivier was whistled for interference and Justin Danforth was called for delay of game, but the Blue Jackets killed both penalties.

Columbus went on a power play at 3:58 of the second after Philadelphia's Scott Laughton was called for hooking against Adam Fantilli. The Blue Jackets managed a couple of solid shots on goal but couldn't convert.

Rasmus Ristolainen, who was playing in his 700th career game, had two strong shots on goal midway through the period. Tarasov was in position to make both saves.

Gaudreau fired a shot off the post with 44 seconds left.
