The St. Louis Blues aren't just rolling. They're now steamrolling.

Vladimir Tarasenko scored twice and Joel Edmundson collected one goal and one assist as the visiting Blues claimed their eighth straight win by defeating the Arizona Coyotes 4-0 on Thursday night in Glendale, Ariz.

This winning spree has moved St. Louis up to third in the Central Division. The last time the Blues won eight straight games was during a nine-game run from Oct. 15-Nov. 5, 2002.

Rookie goalie Jordan Binnington made 21 saves to record his third shutout of the season in only his 13th start. Binnington has compiled an incredible 11-1-1 record to kick off his NHL career, and in this one received more than enough offensive help.

Edmundson's first goal in 48 games opened the scoring just 3:33 into the game. The defenseman joined the rush, took a pass from Jaden Schwartz and chipped a shot into the cage for his second goal of the season.

Tarasenko doubled the lead with 4:29 remaining in the opening frame. Edmundson fired a high point shot that Tarasenko deflected into the cage.

Tarasenko then notched his second of the night, and 24th of the season, with a power-play marker at 16:21 of the second period to make it 3-0. He took a cross-ice pass as he cruised into the left circle and wristed the puck home for his sixth goal in four games.

Tarasenko is also riding a career-high 10-game point streak in which he's netted 17 points (nine goals and eight assists). He's the third Blues player this season to have a point streak of 10 games or more. The others are Ryan O'Reilly and David Perron, a feat that last happened in Blues history in 1991-92 (Brett Hull, Adam Oates and Craig Janney).

Robert Bortuzzo rounded out the scoring at 12:03 of the third period, burying a long point shot through traffic for his second goal of the year.

Goalie Darcy Kuemper made 20 saves for the Coyotes, whose two-game winning streak was snapped.
