Today’s NHL prop picks and best bets

Prop bet #1: The Mitch Is Back

Mitch Marner has taken a lot of heat this series thanks to his output, but with Auston Matthews out, No. 16 will be asked to shoulder the offensive load for the Toronto Maple Leafs in Game 6.

Game 5 saw Marner finish with 10 attempted shots, which was one short of the team lead. Because only two ended up counting as shots on net, the winger's SOG prop remains reasonably priced at +100 for Over 2.5.

Playing on the top line with Max Domi and Tyler Bertuzzi, Marner should have a major role shooting tonight, rather than taking a backseat as a playmaker for Matthews or William Nylander.

Mitch Marner prop: Over 3.5 shots on goal (+100 at BET99)

Prop bet #2: Writing on the Woll

Leafs netminder Joseph Woll has made six appearances in the postseason over the last two seasons, posting a sub-2.00 GAA with a shiny .929 SV%. Meanwhile, the Boston Bruins haven’t looked great offensively in the series, mustering just 10 goals over the last four games while going 4-for-9 on the man advantage.

David Pastrnak isn't having much success on the ice and Brad Marchand looked a little tilted last game, getting shutout on the stat sheet and taking two penalties. With no Matthews, the Leafs are going to need another full-team effort defensively, and that has me fading Boston's team total.

Bruins prop: Team total Under 2.5 (+125 at BET99)

Prop bet #3: Maximus Domi

Max Domi might have been the best player on the ice in Game 5. The Toronto center won 12 of 14 draws, with one of those face-off wins resulting in a goal that collected him his third assist in four games.

The eye test showed a player who was not looking to shoot first, which is great for another round on the first liner's assist prop. Domi is currently listed at +170 to record an apple, which is playable all the way to +150.

Max Domi prop: Over 0.5 assists (+170 at BET99)
