Mookie Betts has been the hottest batter to start the Dodgers season, and Chris Faria expects the superstar outfielder to continue his hitting ways when he takes on Lance Lynn tonight. Read more in our daily MLB player props.

All 15 ball clubs will be in action on the first Saturday of the MLB season, leaving us with plenty of opportunity to take advantage of the MLB player prop markets.

Mookie Betts will headline the MLB odds after recording a league-leading eight hits through four games for the Dodgers, while I also look for another infielder to stay hot at the plate for the Diamondbacks.

Without further ado, let’s dive into my favorite MLB picks for March 30.

Best MLB bets today

Prop bet #1: Best Betts

While all eyes are on Shohei Ohtani, it’s Mookie Betts who’s caught my attention for the Los Angeles Dodgers in the early going. The shortstop has an MLB-leading eight hits through four games to go along with nine RBI and 18 total bases, and I’ll look for him to keep cooking against the Cardinals tonight.

Most of his damage came back on March 21 in Seoul when he notched four hits and six RBI against the Padres, but Betts has picked up at least one hit and two total bases in all four contests so far.

Betts will be facing his former teammate, Lance Lynn, who’s set to make his first start of the year for the St. Louis Cardinals. Lynn was pretty poor last season as he posted a 5.73 ERA in a 13-game split between the Dodgers and White Sox, but he hasn’t seemed to shake it off yet this year, as he recorded a 7.90 ERA over four starts in spring training.

Mookie Betts prop: Over 1.5 total bases (+115 at DraftKings)

Prop bet #2: Strikeout city

Grayson Rodriguez will make his first start for the Baltimore Orioles this season after a successful rookie campaign where he went 11-7 with a 4.35 ERA over 23 starts. The right-hander showed an ability to sit batters down last year as he posted a solid 9.5 strikeouts per nine innings, and I’ll look for that trend to continue this afternoon against the Los Angeles Angels.

The Angels were extremely susceptible to the strikeout last season, recording 1,525 Ks at the plate — fourth most among all clubs. Los Angeles hit just .243 against righties last season, compared to .254 vs. lefties, while striking out in slightly more than 25% of their plate appearances against right-handers.

Los Angeles went with seven right-handed batters in the series opener, so a right-heavy lineup will play into the hands of Rodriguez, who held righties to a .246 batting average last season while punching them out nearly 27% of the time.

Grayson Rodriguez prop: Over 6.5 strikeouts (+100 at DraftKings)

Prop bet #3: Southpaw specialist

Ketel Marte is off to a roaring start for the Arizona Diamondbacks this season, knocking three hits in each of his first two games to help his club outscore the Colorado Rockies 23-4 through the first half of their four-game set.

The Rockies will start another left-hander on Saturday in Austin Gomber, which should play in Marte’s favor. The right-handed batter has hit .305 against lefties over his career compared to just .267 against righties. That difference was even more pronounced last season, as Marte slashed .313 vs. southpaws, so I like his chances to stay hot and pounce on Gomber early.

Although not necessarily predictive, Marte is also batting .309 against the Rockies over 100 previous meetings — his fourth-best average against any opponent in his career.

Ketel Marte prop: Over 1.5 hits (+140 at DraftKings)
