I’ve been winning too much to start the season so I decided to jinx it by posting.
I will try to post plays all season long but this summer could get hectic.
Nobody really cares. Let’s see what happens.

Had the Sparks in their win over The Mercury. Looking at the records, this wouldn’t seem like a huge win but it snapped a two week long/5 game losing streak. Not only that, but it was the Sparks first home win of the season. Now just two days later, LA must travel to Indy where they should find a very motivated opponent. After a hard fought loss against the defending champs on Tuesday (extra day rest and far less travel), Indiana is moving on from Head Coach Marianne Stanley. The assistant taking over in the interim (Carlos Knox) seems to have the respect of this squad and I expect maximum effort from this young team tonight. Indiana, so far this season, has been unable to take a punch and punch back. Opponents often take double digit leads and never look back. This is a confidence issue, in my opinion. It may be false confidence tonight with a new voice barking orders but sometimes that’s all it takes for one game.
LA Sparks @ IND Fever +6 (-110) 4U
LA Sparks @ IND Fever ML (+215) 1U
*FH: LA Sparks @ IND FEVER +3(-110) 2U
*I usually stick to full game plays in the WNBA, but I have watched the Sparks get blitzed early in their losses. Not only that, but the Fever have shown through 9 games that they don’t have what it takes to complete large comebacks. If I believe they are going to be competitive in this game (and I do) then it feels very much so like they will need to get a strong start.

Anyone else get real Sacramento Kings Boogie vibes from Liz Cambage?
Solid win for the Fever. Engstler gets the game ball from me.
Moving on.
*I now know about the WNBA forum but I will finish today out here and post there in the future.*
Seattle is missing 3 players tonight and 2 of those account for 55-60 minutes per game. First, the absence of Sue Bird which means Lloyd should play 32+. This team does not have many pure guards. What they do have going for them tonight is 6 nights rest compared to the Liberty’s 2. New York, by the way, is coming off a difficult loss to Minnesota. I backed the Liberty that night and lost by a point but I was right about their effort. They fought their way back from being down 13 to actually take a lead into the 4th quarter only to completely collapse on offense. Which brings me to my next point: these teams really haven’t been lighting it up. Both teams are in the bottom third of the league for FG%, 3PT FG%, FT%, True Shooting %, Effective FG%, and Offensive Efficiency. The Liberty are also last in offensive boards and second last in assists as well as turnovers. I think NY shot their load last night and will have difficulty scoring tonight. Seattle should look to slow the game down with so few active players. They just don’t have the bodies for a tracke meet tonight. After a week of rest, the jumper could look a bit rusty but there should be plenty of energy on defense.
