In a bit of a dubious position with the Warriors tonight, but I will ride it out. The frustrating part is that this has gone basically as expected for me with this 9/10 matchup coming to fruition but the wagers I made don't make sense. If I had thought through this situation better, I could have simply taken the plus odds with fading Sacramento and be in a much more favourable position. Futures are somewhat new to me and I'll be making a lot of changes to how I attack them next season, but there will be plenty of time to talk about that over the summer.
As for tonight's games, I am not in the camp that believes the Lakers will lie down tonight in order to avoid Denver. I know LA is 0-3 against them this season and 0-8 in their last 8 if you include the playoff sweep but realistically, a match-up against Denver is inevitable. Are they really going to leave their post season up to one game against either a HOF squad or a Kings team that they really struggle to beat? LA is 0-4 against the Kings this season and 1-8 in their last 9 against this team. The sooner LA faces Denver, the better. We've seen Lebron do incredible things but we cannot ignore his age and the age of his team. The more games they have to play before facing Denver, the more difficult it will be for them to beat the Nuggets. These games will not have the same drain on Denver, not to mention their series' project to be shorter.
With all that being said, I won't be taking either side tonight (at least not pre-game). I don't expect the Lakers to lie down, but I've seen NBA teams do enough stupid things these past few years that I also just can't rule it out. I also found something that I like more. Either way, I think the Lakers need to make a show of it and I think LBJ has this Pelicans defense completely figured out. 8 assists in the first two games. 14 and 17 in the last two. Whether he's going hard and trying to win or sitting back and just making it entertaining, I feel good about his motivation and ability to distribute the ball effectively tonight.
Lebron James o9.5 assists (+115)1u
Lebron James o12.5 assists (+525)0.2u
Good luck to everyone tonight. Personally, I find the playoffs much more difficult than the regular season.

I know the Lakers + Golden State parlay seems too good to be true, but if it weren't for my investment in the Warriors I'd be seriously considering it. "Books don't give away free money". Sure they do. Name a book that doesn't have a sign up bonus. They just expect (rightfully so) that most people will give it back. Viewership increases in the post season and so do the gamblers. Why not throw em' a bone early? Most will probably give it back before the end of round 1.

Trae played like shit and fell one short also. I would bet on the pelicans tonight but I’ve already got +200 odds by way of the future. No hedge. Like I said earlier, I’ve learned a lot about how to better attack these futures and I just want to let the dust settle on this season.
