Basically, sorry Cincinnati it’s not happening. Alabama can lose again. MSU could lose 3 times. Oregon on upset alert this weekend. OU has an uphill battle. Quite a surprise to start. Is this the year a 2 loss team gets in?

agree with sorry cincy, they aren't getting in which is criminal in my opinion. Alabama can't lose again, msu def can't lose, forget about 3x, ou will be in if they win out.

I’m saying Alabama can lose to Auburn or UGA, not that they will get in with another loss. MSU is a lock to lose to the Buckeyes and don’t match up well at all with Penn st and will likely lose that game, and could lose this weekend to Purdue. OU yes will be in if they win out but they’re clearly not impressed with OU to this point and the toughest part of their schedule is ahead and 1 loss could keep them out it looks like. 1 of these 4 will be in the final top 4 in December.

Just a boring Tuesday conversation piece I guess. There is so much football to be played with a ton of great matchups. I could even see a scenario where the B1G doesn’t send a team if the committee truly values conference titles. Records aside I think Wisconsin is the 3rd best team in the B1G and could give the East champ all kinds of problems in that title game.

How are you saying Cincy has no chance of getting in? Alabama would be +7 against UGA in the sec championship game, and quite frankly bama sucks and I don't see a world where they beat UGA. MSU is only -3 this against Purdue this week lol, if MSU beats purdue then you can guarantee they wont go 2-0 against OSU and PSU. Even with Cincy sitting at 6 I think they have better odds than bama or MSU.

Cincinnati at 6 is a bit generous. They were beating Navy 13-10, Tulane 14-12 at half. They put up 351 total yards against a 117 ranked Tulane, where Mississippi put up over 700 yards. They beat a solid Notre Dame team, but Indiana is proving to be over rated.

Michigan State deserves to be in the top 4 in this initial ranking, but they won't be there in the end...I have no problem with keeping Cinci out. They don't look that impressive...If they don't like it, then perhaps they should go independent. They will join the Big XII so they should fix the problem. However, I think this controversy is going to ignite the 8 or 12 team playoff movement, which may not be a bad thing. My prediction of the final final 4...
1) Georgia - if they were to lose to Bama in the SEC C Game, then Alabama would be in and UGA would be the 2nd team, and that would knock weak assed Oregon out...
2) Ohio State - 1 loss Big 10 Champion
3) Oklahoma - undefeated Big 12 Champion
4) Oregon - This one in my opinion does not deserve to be here, but if they win out, they may be in...
Alabama should not get in with two losses...Either beat UGA or you are out...OU has looked like sh!t, but they are about to peak, in my opinion...I don't honestly see a path for Cinci, unless the Big 10 cancels each other out with 2 losses each or OU loses a game...

Cincinatti at 6 is a slap in the face. They have a common opponent and better resume than MSU who is at 3. I just feel like the initial placement at 6 is the committee saying the cards are stacked against you. Cincy, OU, and UM could win out and the latter 2 would move above Cincy. There’s no way Alabama would be +7 in a must win game vs #1 UGA who isn’t really playing for anything at that point. The books goal is 50/50 action that would be more like 90/10. Maybe they’d be fine with that but idk I’d say that line is near a pick em and if it came down a must win vs meaningless then I’d guess Bama is a FG favorite

I agree on MSU. The underlying metrics are terrible, operating on borrowed time but hey good for them their season win total was 5. Impressive nonetheless. I do think this is Michigan’s best team since 2016 and that game vs Ohio state is going to be really good. Was able to rewatch the game this past weekend and after doing so feel like Michigan’s problems were more so from the sideline, especially McDonald who isn’t used to tempo from where he came from in the nfl. Even most of walkers big runs were in the 2H when they were using tempo and guys weren’t even lined up defensively. Horrible job and MSU completely outcoached them. Silver lining is that could end up helping them a ton vs a much better OSU team in a few weeks. Good test run for where they have to improve. Or we could just go full Michigan and lose to penn state making the last game worth zero once again!!

I am on Ohio State and Michigan ATS this week...So I hope this gives them extra motivation to play above the expectation for them...Had Michigan not blown that game, they would be in the slot that Michigan State now occupies...Michigan v Ohio State should be a good game...

Oklahoma State (7-1) Should be in top 4. They are 4-1 against top 30 teams ( tied for Tops ), and the only game they lost was to Iowa State, on a very shaky 4th down spot. They could be undefeated.

Yeah not sure how Michigan responds this weekend tbh, that one has to sting. Indy has a lot of problems at QB and those teams tend to struggle vs Michigan but who knows. 20 is a lot to lay in this spot. Ill be there rootin on a 21 point win for ya though!! I went into last weekend thinking UM was 2 scores better than msu and honestly I feel like the gap is at least that now. Goes to show you how big of an impact a game plan has. Phenomenal job by Tucker and his staff.

Cincy beat indiana more handley than MSU did. I guess that means nothing?
Agree. Got outgained and needed a defensive TD to win that game lol. If you’re Cincy I guess just keep winning and let everybody else beat up on eachother for 4 more weeks!

Georgia to win it all...they are a team stacked with NFL talent on D, and their offense gets the benefit of excellent field position game after game. It's not a sexy pick, but this is a one horse race
Got myself some UGA 7/1 over the summer and loving that ticket! Also have Michigan 80/1 and will be adding more to Michigan after the loss as they’re back in the neighborhood of 60/1 at some spots.

cincy went undefeated in reg season, was ranked in top 10, and lost 24-21 to Georgia in bowl. They bring back the majority of team, are undefeated again, have arguably the best win, and they are on outside looking in...
Just put the power 5 in their own league already, stop having these other conferences play for a championship they can never win.

Cincinnati has by far the easiest schedule. What have they accomplished? The top 38 Sagarin rated teams have FAR better schedules. Can anyone make a case for Cincinnati , beating Tulane 14-12 at half time, as a top 4 team? Oklahoma state is 4-1 against top 30 teams, they deserve it. Michigan state, nope
Lou F screwed his own team, by playing Navy, and Tulane with no offensive game plan. They were afraid to blow Navy out. Too much respect. Mississippi gained 721 yards on Tulane 4 of Tulane's 7 opponents, had their year high in yardage against them. Cincinnati scored 31 on the UAB scored 28. UAB....

1 common opponent. Indiana. Ohio state destroyed Indiana. Cincinnati got outgained by Indiana. If Ohio state played Tulane, the half time score would be about 52-3. EYe test
Temple? got trashed by Rutgers.61-14. Just as impressive as Cincinnati's victory.

If Cincy goes unbeaten I think they will be able to get in. Schedules are made pretty far in advance so hard to fault them entirely. Also bowl games are pretty meaningless unless you’re in the CFP or maybe a rose bowl. A team like Georgia is NC or bust expectations. So a date with a group of 5 team probably barely gets them to the stadium on time, it’s more of a vacation at that point. Whereas Cincy views it as an opportunity to show they can compete with the SEC. Bowl records these days are completely meaningless.

More than likely will have OSU at 2, Michigan out and bump Cincy to 4. I can dream though. I think this is the best chance we’ve had up here in 5 years!

No big changes, Sparty slips up kinda as expected and everybody moves up 1 except OU , but they’ve got a tougher stretch coming to prove they are worthy. Feel like MSU has 2 more losses coming, possibly 3 with how bad that pass defense is. Giving 13 to Maryland is a total joke I’m sorry. Anywho, looking ahead to this weekend. Ohio state welcomes Purdue the giant killer to Columbus and I think their magic runs out. They beat the 2 most overrated “top 5” teams in the conference and it’ll be tough to pull out a W here, but could be lots of points. Michigan could be shown the CFP door as they head to happy valley to take on a very good PSU defense. UGA heads to Tennessee which could be tricky, never know which Vols team we’re gonna get. Alabama plays New Mexico State after another underwhelming performance, yet here they are at #2 with 0 good wins and not really look all that great. Oregon gets Wazzou, maybe a tricky spot for them. Oklahoma @ Baylor and Michigan @ Penn st are the 2 to watch this weekend to shake things up further!
