Call it luck but I will be watching tonight's game cheering for a team I don't normally cheer for... 1000+ entries in a local bracket pool has me sitting in a spot to take home just short of 9K with a Zags win.
Problem is a UNC win has me where I've been for the last dozen years; a financial contributor to the winner. Though at $20 invested, it's not like I'm heavily invested...
I've been tossing the idea of insuring this bet... Even without being in the spot I'm in, I would be leaning on the Zags.
My general question is, would you hedge or just leave it be? Again, these bracket pools are a lottery and for $20 I could walk away with something. $500? $1000?? $2500? Hopefully the ML on UNC falls but whatever...
Never been in this spot so it would be interesting to read some opinions...

you most definitely hedge here with a ML bet on the Tar Heels - take some money of the table (even if only a few grand, and that is if you LOVE the Zags tonight) and enjoy the game. Assuming of course there is no 2nd place prize..
