Take UNC -2 - 2 units
Bell has injured ankle and need him to be healthy to be competitive. He may be able to go in the 2H but won't be 100%. Not good for the Ducks.

ZAGS -7 - I've got this at -105-100. Yes - SC is the "new" Cinderella team. They have beaten #2 Duke, #3 Baylor and #4 FL. Thornton and defense has been their keys to winning -- especially in the 2nd half where they have outscored their opponents by a +13 point margin. BUT - the Zags are loaded with athleticism and size. The big Pollock and blue chip freshman Collins will be able to protect the rim and score on multiple offensive put backs. They will be able to throw multiple players at Thornton to make him work for his baskets. Goss, Williams and Perkins will be able to handle the SC defensive pressure -- as they did against WVA. The Gamecocks can't shoot the 3 ball and when they fall behind in the 1H -- their defense won't be able to claw them back into the game and they will be forced to throw up the 3 ball without much success. IMO - this is a formula for a double digit W by the Zags - 2 unit play
UNC -5 - I want to pick the DUCKS so bad but I just don't have enough ammunition to see the DUCKS covering this one. The TARHEELS have it all - they are big, athletic and can shoot the rock. They are also deep having 9 guys that play over 10 min per game. The DUCKS only have 6 guys who play over 10 minutes. PS - those 9 guys aren't some stiffs that they just throw in to get minutes. I see UNC wearing down a thin 6-7 deep ORE team. ORE is athletic and can shoot the 3-ball ... the DUCKS will keep this close through out but will fade down the stretch. 1 unit play

Sorry cover brothers - I have to go see the eye doctor as my 20/20 vision is way off! The only part of my recaps I had right was ZAGS taking the 1H lead -- never thought SC would have enough to stage a frantic comeback and even take the lead in the 2H. Also - knew UNC would kill the DUCKS on the boards but thought the DUCKS would fade down the stretch - WRONG!
