Cities don't need to be occupied by military to reduce crime.  Providing jobs, education, housing, healthcare and financial support are proven remedies that work.

MSNBC reports that deployment of national guard in Washington D.C. has been a fiasco that is hurting local economy. Restaurant bookings are down because people are scared. No proof of difference in crime rate. Polls show over 80% of residents oppose unnecessary deployment.
