Buddy you are making your case but need to take the bias out of the Comments for the game like the Georgia I think that is crazy talk and you know as well as I do any game is won and lost on coaching, ball control and Defense.  Don't underestimate the Gators in this spot Strength of Schedule favors the Gators big time.  To be honest anyone can slant an article either way and I will show you by saying Florida will cover 9.5 all you have to do is look at the strength of schedule and find there are more matchups that favor Florida than Alabama.  Don't get me wrong you might be on the right side I would give Alabama a 50% chance of covering this spread I had the line at -8 for Florida and with Harvin out give it a 55% chance of covering with a line of -7.  Will be a good game and I will give you a novel in my thread later to support the claim.

Haha might be a little biased pimp. Trying to state my case though. If games are won with coaching, ball control and defense then who wouldnt be on the Tide?? I will also argue that while Florida has played a tougher schedule, both teams will be playing by far their toughest game on Saturday. I also dont think the Goergia game is crazy talked. I watched the entire game and the whole 1st half I thought Georgia moved the ball better than Florida did. I am not here denying that they got smoked in the 2nd half, but I will argue that if they executed in the redzone in the 1st half they would have been up at halftime Sorry man, just feel pretty strongly about this one

No problem man just wanted to let you know the bias is just screaming out at me reading your Great American Novel here.  I honestly think it is going two ways Florida blow out over 14 30% chance Florida by 10 to 14 20%.  Florida 0-10 30% and Bama straight up 20%.  I will give you a heads up to be honest it is great to dive into games for Trends and History but looking at it deeper all I care is who can dominate the game and what are the % of them covering this type of spread on a neutral field this is the best offense Bama has seen all year and the Gators best D they have seen all year so we need to look at the other areas of the game like special teams which the Gators are better and Alabama how many points do you think they can put up the Gators D.  Can they throw the ball will be key Flroida front 7 are great this year I do give the advantage to young Offensive line of Alabama for sure but the LB and secondary could be tough.  Look also into if Bama has come back from being down this year because I don't remember if they have been tested like this.  Floirda did once and failed bad against Ole Miss I watched the game and man they had 5 or 6 opportunities to score and missed two wide open WR for the win.  I do feel this line is good at -8 so I think you should be good but I think Floida will win this game just have to admit that if Bama goes down my 10 or more this could get ugly because I can't see them coming back against them.

The bias is screaming out of most of my writeup pimp. Just trying to make my argument. That is how I approach these. It also doesnt help that I cap the game before I write these so I already have in my head how I see the game going. It has been successful so far so I'm just sticking with what works. Everyone has their own way to cap a game. Bama has not had to comeback all year. That is why I am pitting the turnover battle as the key battle. If Florida jumps out by more than 14 points I dont think Alabama has a chance, but seeing how they are one of the top 1st quarter teams that isnt my biggest concern. I just look forward to a great game and I give Alabama a 40% chance of winning so it will merit a moneyline for me

I could just post my plays but I like to show my rationale behind it. So I guess I should stop calling them write-ups and start calling them.....not sure what but I'll think of it eventually. If there werent differing opinions on these games we would all be betting the same team and all be really rich or really poor. BOL this week pimp, I'll be pulling for ya

No problem this is the reason why I just post my picks becuase when I give write ups they are always on numbers and why I picked that team.  GL to you I will be on Florida Small this week so whatever you pick I know you have thought about it for sure.

Bib, I hate to see you against my Gators here.  I'm not sure the Gators cover the spread (or win the game for that matter after reading your thesis) so I'm only going to be betting the over.  I hope that the Gators pull it out, but maybe by less than 10 so the special can roll to 13-2 

By the way, I saw 4 Christmases this weekend with the wife.  Great movie for Reese.

As a big Gator fan here are a few things to consider.
 
After the 1 pt loss to Ole Miss tebow vowed to play every play like its his last. His QB rating is now 175 which is higher than last years 172. Gators have a big edge at QB
 
In the last 7 games since putting demps and Rainey in the backfield they are ave 353 rushing. I call Demps, rainey, Moody and Harvin the 4 horseman (Sorry Knute Rockne)
 
They also have been scorong 50+ in the last 7 games.
 
Their vastly improved defense allows about the same amount of points as Bama with a tougher schedule.They are outscoring opp in the last 3 games by 44. They have won by 28+ in 7 straight games. So with an equal defense, they are much superior on offense
 
If Vegas has the #4 rated team a 9.5-10 point favorite over the #1 undefeated team that should tell you something
 
I won't play the game as watching it will be emotional enough, but I have watched every play the gators have played this year and since the ole Miss game this is a team on a mission.The same can be said of Okla, since their loss to Texas. That is why I feel you will see a Florida/Okla BCS championship game

gotta take the points....I mean, whats the most popular saying in football....."Defense wins championships!!!" ....
 
I keep hearing about the Florida offense being great followed by Bamas defense being overrated......you cant be overrated if you've beat EVERYONE on your schedule.....someone has to PROVE you shouldnt be rated that high.....Florida lost AT HOME to Ole Piss, who at the time was UNDERRATED, but the did lose.....People say its not that big a deal if Percy harvin is out...I say BS...he cant be replaced, he IS the good....FSU had several shots early last weekend, but settled for fgs.....
 
bottomline.....it should be a great game....i think bama will be able to neutralize the gators speed by running right at them and over them....then they become susceptable to play action.....the gators and tebow on the other hand will find running lanes tighter than normal and the pocket will be a little close for comfort.....
 
Dont know who wins, but the final will be 27-24 .....

Percy Harvin,does make a big difference to the gators. The other team has to watch him at all times. In limited play last week , bob Griese kept circling Harvin.and the attention he draws.He opens up all the other players
 
The news in gainesville is that he is doing much better and wants to play.in 2006 he was injured in the FSU game as well and came back to be the MVP in the SEC Championship against Arkansas
 
If anyone can play injured it's Harvin. He has had injuries since 10th grade. My money says he will play

One thing that should be noted here is how Alabama plays certain teams  This is not a team like Florida who will try to rack up points.  They actually play down to lessor teams and seem to play harder when they have a challenge.  Just something Ive noticed this year.  Oh and by the way, I had Bama against Clemson and Georgia.  Also I jumped for joy when I saw the opening line.  I am waiting for it to go back up because the public will be on Florida on this one!

I like it Bib  This line is inflated...I thought Fla would be favored by 3 with a healthy Harvin.  Who knows, Fla. may pounce Bama but I can't pass up the value on Bama.

Referring back to Pimpdaddys thread....correct me if I wrong but I thought Bama was behind several times in the LSU game.  And if you are going to cap the game soley by numbers of course your side would be slanted towards Florida.

I don't know why people bet on 2 great teams, I would rather find mis matches. You have 2 great coaches and 2 great teams
