I am a matchbook player, so will I still be ok using Labouchere and not buying points?

There have been good discussions in this thread so far. I have 2 quick questions that I'd like to pose. I used the NBA v1 last season with the labourchere MM w/o buying points and was able to produce a decent profit. I'm looking to expand on that this upcoming season with both v1 and v2 but wanted to see if anyone had any experience or thought about using the set income MM strategy from bookie buster on these plays?  The idea is if you're able to clear 4 lines or for every time you win 8 games you'll make your set goal amount. 

For those of you that don't know about it, it's setup like this, 100-50-100 and you bet to win $200 on your first play. If you win that, you cross out the two $100s and then bet to win $50. Once you clear that line, you're up $250 and restart it again. Once you've cleared 4 lines you've made $1,000. 

My thought is that since we have a very good idea of the true strike rate of the each system thanks to Kangy, could we put something like this into place and let it roll through the 2009-2010 season for v1 and v2? The minimum percentage that is needed to make this approach successful is right at 28%. I'm not sure if it would be better than a 100-100-100-100 labourchere line or not but wanted to throw it out there for discussion.

Hi guys, finally found the pdf version of the V1 NBA strategy!
Now for V2 which I plan on using as stated earlier by another poster the only difference is that only 2 out of 3 games instead of all 3 games on the road must be from the opposite conference.
People who used V2 system last season please let me know
your thoughts on the following filters:

As you will see there are 2 filters he suggests
1- Dont bet on the best or worst road team.
2- Dont bet on the series if the teams top player is injured.

Other filters people have recommended are:
1-Wait till December to start making plays as nba teams are still experimenting and pct lines are more accurate.

2-Do not play a week before or a week after all star break as teams are unpredictable.

3-it is best to avoid games that start off in the middle of a series of away games. Many of the
 losses that have occured in the past could have been avoided if you avoided bets where the  first away A bet started in a middle of a series of away games.
i.e make sure the first A bet of a 6 game road trip is at game 1, dont start at game 4

Can someone help me out here with the following question regarding the line method for money management please.

Is this correct?
My understanding is this from a previous poster:
Line Method example:
Always add the outter 2 numbers.

25.25.25.25

First bet would be to RISK 50. If lose add 50 to your line.

25.25.25.25.50. Next bet would be 75.

Lets say we wins this one.

25.25.25. <-- After a win, eliminate the outside 2 numbers.

After you win enough to clear a 2 lines, then raise your line's numbers but 20%.

So it will be.. 30.30.30.30

Joemoney can you use the line method for money management and still take the 3 points on the spread? If you cant then how does not taking the 3 points compare to martingaling the system and taking 3 points?

Kangy your 2004-2005 and 2006-2007 seasons result in a loss if your buying 3 points. this is going by your 18.7 unit loss per series, not sure where you got the 18.7 unit figure from because I calculate it to be 10-13 units per series loss.

this figure is calculated based on -170 juice for buying 3 pts.
G1 risk 170 to win 100; G2 risk 459 to win 270; G3 risk 1239 to win 729.

The cumulative losses if the series loses is 170+459+1239 = 1868 = 18.68 units.

yes labouchere is good to use. in many cases there is no need to buy points. theres no way to buy points on matchbook.

Hi JV,
What is the approximate return using labouchere?
Also when do you raise the line to help compound your profits?
Im guessing each series gets its own line.

By clearing 2 lines, do you mean clearing A bet line twice or clearing a A bet line once and a B bet line once. I've hit the Platsports site and i'm still unsure?

Going on kangys results for not buying points, can someone tell me wether the seasons kangy posted results for put you in profit?
for the 2004-2005 season I calculate:

If a series loss is 8.26 units then a series win is around 1.85.
(94*1.85 = 173.9) - (16*8.26 = 132.16)

total gain = 41.74 units

guys, before this season starts I'd just like to give you a little advice on following the system the way it's laid out. i've tried several times to do my own this with these picks and i've come up short every time and wasted good plays and great money.
 
don't be scared of the juice and don't stray from the system. i do recommend using the labourchere over the martingale though.

That douchebag Morrision sent me an email asking for more money! He said the picks for basketball would come 15 minutes prior to tip offf! If I sent him $125.00 I could upgrade and get a new system! that guy really chaps my hide! How does one buy points in Nevada? Stations only allows to buy a 1/2 point. Does anyone here live in Nevada and can help me out. I really don't want to sign up with an offshore account if I don't have too!
