When the score was tied 0–0, Arteta brought in Martinelli, who contributed with a goal and an assist in about a quarter of playing time, deciding the outcome of the match.
This kind of depth has previously been lacking in Arsenal.

Barcelona just played away against Newcastle on Thursday, and they have five matches in the next 15 days, so it will not be a big surprise if Flick rests some players.

Athletic Club vs Girona

Here we have two teams in really bad form, with Girona being the worst affected by their current struggles. The Catalan side is currently at the bottom of La Liga, facing issues with injured and suspended players, which has significantly impacted them, creating a domino effect that has disrupted their tactical setup and team chemistry.

If I have to choose a favorite here, it will undoubtedly be Athletic Bilbao. The Basque club will be playing in the familiar surroundings of San Mamés, where the passionate home support typically elevates their performance levels. Bilbao's home record has traditionally been one of their strongest assets, and facing a team as defensively vulnerable as Girona presents an ideal opportunity to capitalize on this advantage.

Sevilla vs Villarreal 

I played against Sevilla last time against Alaves, but they got an undeserved win, and that has been the case for Sevilla throughout the season so far. They have outperformed the Expected Points table, and when this occurs, the universe typically corrects itself. It is their defense and their midfield that are their weak spots, even though the attack always manages to create chances, especially at the end of matches.

Villarreal has impressed greatly during the start of the season, despite losing two important players in Álex Baena and Thierno Barry over the summer. Despite that, we find Villarreal in third place in La Liga, behind Real Madrid and Barcelona, with ten points from five matches. Over the weekend, they picked up three points at home against Osasuna, where new signing Georges Mikautadze scored his first goal for the new club. The only losses so far have come against Atlético Madrid and against Tottenham, 0-1, in the Champions League, where an unfortunate own goal from their goalkeeper decided the whole match.

They always create goal chances and if they want to play in the Champions League next season, they must win matches like this even though their defense sometimes tends to mess up away from home

Levante vs Real Madrid

Real Oviedo vs Barcelona

Oviedo are newcomers to the top league, and given their limited experience and talent, it would be a big surprise if they don’t fall straight back. Their biggest weakness is their inability to score goals. Before the league started, they played six friendlies, scoring no goals in three of them and one goal each in the other three. They’ve scored just one goal in five matches since the league started.

During their home match against Real Madrid, it took them until the 88th minute—almost the very end of the game—to create their first and only genuine scoring opportunity.

Keeping a clean sheet and Barcelona aren’t usually mentioned in the same sentence, but believe it or not, the Catalan giants have managed to pull off this rare feat three times out of their five matches so far this season, including their last two matches.

Now, they face a newcomer team to the league, which is relatively inexperienced and has problems scoring, so they have an opportunity to continue their winning streak without conceding.

Aston Villa vs Bologna

I don’t know what to say about Aston Villa; scoring goals has been an impossible task for them until the Sunderland match, a match they managed to draw 1-1 despite playing with a man extra for over an hour. The owner is under pressure, the coach is under pressure, the whole team is under pressure, and as if that pressure wasn’t enough, they are also favorites to win the Europa League.

I am confident that Aston Villa will improve their performance eventually, but I am uncertain if it will occur today, particularly given the absence of Tielemans and Onana.

It feels like either Aston Villa will have another disastrous match, or they will completely dominate Bologna, but in either case, it feels like one of them will leave the pitch without scoring.

RB Salzburg vs Porto

If Aston Villa are the bookmakers’ favorites to win the Europa League, then Porto are mine. Porto have won all their matches at the start of the season and really seem to have found their groove with their recent performances. Six wins in six attempts and an impressive 15-1 goal difference are impressive numbers.

Porto builds its success on a solid, difficult-to-break defense and on controlling matches through possession, then securing stable, perhaps boring, victories.
Salzburg has 3 consecutive losses, and their last two home games have ended in a draw and a loss, so their form isn’t the best. Salzburg doesn’t feel as strong as in previous seasons, and they also have injuries to key players like J. Mellberg. I believe Porto will take 3 points here even though they are playing away.
