and Oracles preview of Tuesday's Hurricanes v Brit & I Lions match is below.
The eighth placed Eels have had two weeks to prepare for this clash and were a side down and out after round 6 with just two wins from their first six matches of the season. Since then they’ve improved immensely in their attack and have become one of the surprise packets of 2017. The game will probably be decided by the battle of forwards and could become a real arm wrestle. In a low scoring affair the Eels might just get one better on the day but it won’t be an easy task against a Bulldogs side that are looking to separate themselves from the bottom four.
The Eels by 4
Eels - Baggy’s BOYS have won 3 of their last 4 whereas the Doggies have only managed the one. The Eels had a nice win against the Dragons and have now had the last 2 weeks resting up. The Doggies are plain average at the moment and I get the impression they’re finding it hard (or have forgotten how) to capitalise on their opportunities. The Slippery Ones for me.
must win game for both teams. will be very close game... Graham and Eastwood are absent for doge...
para to win close and 1-12 not bad atall..![]()

The Souths put in their best performance of the 2017 season last week. Unless the momentum train completely derails or they collapse under the weight of their own expectations, it’s hard to see them not playing to a similar level again. The Roosters were walloped and the loss of Mitchell Pearce to Origin certainly won’t help them find much direction in attack.
Souths may have left their run of form a little too late to make the finals but they’ll be full of confidence and should be able to give their faint hopes a boost with a big win over an understrength Roosters. Bunnies by 10+
