  The NFL owners shouldve kept them all locked out 2 years if necessary to get salaries under control.  It's not like any of them were hurting for cash, but they all caved and now even punters are getting super wealthy.  These guys used to go to war for $10K playoff bonus but you dont get their best these days. He was probably handed a check for $150-200K after today's collapse which is his salary.  Remember, they're not college athletes, they're pros.  And he really doesnt care about the outcome of the game because he can open his phone before drifting off to sleep tonight and see his new bank balance.  It doesn't even occur to him that he let down an entire school and the millions of alumni.  He'll collect his per diem in the morning too.  

A little rough on the kid but he's a pro athlete and can take the criticism.   If I was him (Manning), I would ignore it all and the next time I talked to my parents I would assure them that I'll gladly keep their last name, but want my first name changed from Arch.

Rose probably gambled a few hundred a handful of times and got banned for life.  Ohtani gambled millions and they don’t even give him a slap on the wrist.  He’s the greatest to ever play the game, much like Mahomes in football.   They really don’t want to shame Showhey and and send him packing back to Japanese baseball.  The M.O. is to help make him the superstar that he isn’t.   Which means Saturday night at home against Houston on Fox is a go. 

The NBA can’t afford for OKC to lose.  If they lose their fans (-fools who pay for tickets) probably give up hope of ever winning.  Now they’re eternal followers.
