A few games may be affected today and yes, i know, only really high winds affect games LOL. To me bad weather with or without winds is a factor. Everyone knows about the Chicago game being brutally cold and windy with O/U at 40.5....fudge it, i am taking the Under. Baltimore at Cincy, really sort of the same weather as in Chicago but with a higher total of 51.5....fudge it, i am taking the under and i think Henry goes off. Chargers at KC ....just very cold and Chargers play indoors...O/u 42.5...can someone tell me why KC continues to be favored in these games when clearly they are not that good this year. Bills at Patriots....both team play in bad weather all the time and the O/U is 49.5, this is the game where i would NOT bet the under because of the weather. Raiders at Eagles...cold weather , wind....two bad offenses and the o/u 38.5....i am going to play Under Commanders at Giants....like Philly cold but this stadium the wind plays more havoc...fudge it i am taking under 47.5
SO LET"S GO UNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNDER WITH THESE COLD WEATHER GAMES PLEASE |

I am quite disappointed in the weather this season. Hardly any games have been affected by the weather and the few that were went OVER the total debunking my weather angle. Today I thought we would have had some games especially in the middle of the country affected by a storm moving across country but it doesn't look like any games will be severely impacted. Michigan - Ohio St will escape the brunt of the storm as the game starts at Noon and the bad weather hits that part of the country in the afternoon. A couple games in Kansas and Oklahoma will have some strong 20-30 mph winds but really nothing that bad. This afternoon's Wisc v Minn game will get the real bad weather but the total is at a low 39.5 and i already got burnt earlier this week in taking the UNDER in Nebraska-Iowa game and getting killed when the weather did not materialize. Darn weather stinks this year!! Booooooo........ |

Oregon at Iowa in Iowa City.....chance of rain 100%, damp soggy, wet and cold conditions. Yeah both teams are accustomed to playing in bad weather, heaven knows Eugene gets bad weather a lot. The O/U is already at 42.5. Yeah, yeah, I know all the experts say "it's not the rain that matters it is the wind" and the wind is supposed to be just light. However, i have made enough money over the years betting the UNDER in these rainy miserable conditions that I am going UNDER in this game. |

A lot of times in sports you hear us say "they match up better with so-so and so-so" so for example someone may say "the skins matchup better with the Eagles and have a better chance to beat them" but if they beat the Eagles and then play let us say the Bills you might hear us say "they don't match up well with the Bills" and hence why the Bills would be favored. What does match up means.....well the Eagles might like to do something something really well and the Redskins might have the players to defend that but then the same Redskins player may not be able to defend what the Bills offensive strength is. So to @justliketoplay ......that's why the logic of Eagles are now favored to win the Superbowl but if Skins beat them they would be favored does not work in sports.

in NFL Betting @Digitalkarma I agree...not so much quantity of flags but at what point are they thrown and how crucial. I think that is a great point. |

@EastsideBangers LOL, too bad with these written forums, one cannot detect the sarcasm or humor one tries to convey in the message. As someone else pointed out, i was trying to be funny and sarcastic but may have failed in my attempt. I am a Skins fan so excuse us having been through 10 or more years of futility, being made fun of (rightfully) and be the laughing stock of many NFL fans if this year we are a bit over the top )) But yeah, not emotional just trying to be funny. @LGG79 You get it....i am a tongue in cheek type when writing in my posts here more often than not. I forgot about that that stat or what someone said about playing a game after Detroit, was it Detroit, how they were so physical? I don't think that game against Skins was that physical or at least Skins didn't come out with too many injuries other than our center which is a bad one for the offense.

Bring on the Skins haters and Philly lovers .........LOL LOL. The line opened at Philly -4.5 and now has risen to 6.5. I guess all the smart people see Philly blowing out the darn so bad, awful, no rookie ever made SuperBowl, can't stop anyone defense Washington Commanders! I mean Washington is such a bad team , they really shouldn't even play the game. No one can stop Barkley and Jalen Hurts and this great Eagles defense, right? Who does this rookie QB Jayden Daniels think he is ...surely he cannot win a playoff game much less two playoff games much less an NFC Championship and go to the Superbowl. That is totally impossible, right? I mean Washington beating Tampa in Tampa was a fluke, right? And Washington beating Detroit in Detroit was a fluke too, right? Eagles fans better jump on this 6.5 before it goes higher and higher, right? Let's Go Skins!!!!!! Anybody, anywhere, anytime! Let's Go. |

I guess we are done with college football this year. We thought last night's game was going to be a blowout after the first half (or some of us did) but Notre Dame did scrap back into it and made it a game. Those of us who had Ohio State and 8.5-9-9.5 were biting our darn fingernails out and yelling at the TV. So happy they went long to Jeremiah Smith and that just enough time was left on the clock where they had to kick a FG and couldn't kneel it out. Phew. This year we had the first college playoff format with 12 teams. Yeah, there were pluses and minuses on both sides about this format. We shall see what happens next year. Ohio State i think shows how important the transfer portal is - did they buy this championship? I am not sure but the transfer portal sure did help them but in the end these players have to execute and the coaches have to coach but it sure does help to be a big school that can afford players to transfer now in college. Thanks to all of you guys who i have tailed or faded through the year; to all who agreed with me on some of my posts and those who cussed me out in other posts. All good in the spirit of debating sports. I love sports betting but it ain't easy....it ain't for the faint hearted but i love it better than going to the movies, seeing a play or any other form of entertainment. Until next year College Football Bettors, have a good offseason, see you in the NFL Forum for last couple weeks of NFL. Let's Go SKINS............beat Philly! |

Question: honestly do you think Mahomes and the Chiefs Get Favored Treatment by the Refs
in NFL Betting @Raiders22 Thanks for you long thoughtful post. I certainly think there are elements in your post that hold true leaving us fans the "impression" that Mahomes and the Chiefs get favorable treatment. To add to your points, the Chiefs have played a lot of playoff games at home and i think they may get more "home calls" so again the refs being human may have a tendency to throw the flag more when 80,000 fans throw their hands up. I do think in all sports once an athlete becomes a superstar there tends to be a tendency where they are protected more. Does the NFL really want a Brady or a Mahomes get injured and be done for a season? Just saying. You seem to be a person who wants data or actual instances versus our belief....I cannot give you instances but i think a lot of people have seen hits against Mahomes which seem petty but yet flags are thrown. We see the same hits against other QBs and no flag is thrown .....anecdotal evidence I guess. Anyhow it is why i posed this question...do teams go into KC face not only the Chiefs but the refs? Do teams go into KC and must play a perfect game to beat KC? Do teams and players go into KC with this impression also....

@C-70Blues Nope, can't coach a team but can answer some of your sarcastic comments. @C-70Blues You obviously didn't watch the Redskins-Detroit game last week or you don't understand the stats....Detroit's Gibbs had 14 rushes for 105 yards with a long run of 33 yards. Therefore take that long run away he had 13 rush attempts for 72 yards for an average of 5.5 yards an attempt. Montgomery their other RB had 7 attempts for 28 yards or 4 yards a rush. Williams was the other guy who had a reverse run for a TD which again skewered the stat you are quoting last week. Did i say we will shut down Saquon or did i say we stand a better chance if we stack the box in an attempt to limit his success. Don't want to continue this back and forth with you, you are entitled to your opinion....i am sure there are many who bet Tampa Bay Bucs and Detroit Lions quoting the stats you have against the Skins, the same people who will be betting the Eagles this weekend. |

@C-70Blues I am here on a betting forum cause like you I presume you like to gamble and i presume you don't watch every Redskins game and play like i do through the year so perhaps i would give you some insight. And hence why I started off saying that, give you my reasoning and then tell you why I don't think Philly -4.5 is a good bet. At least, I tell you why i like something rather than some people here on come on and say they like something without any reasoning or justification and people jump on them cause they see some posting of a record which no one can confirm. LOL....LOL.... Feel free to ignore that I am a Redskins fan and go right ahead and bet Philly -4.5 sir. |

@Battalion74 I thought Detroit has been the best team all the year....and what happened when they played the Skins. To be honest Eagles-Skins game this weekend reminds of Detroit-Skins game last week.

Question: honestly do you think Mahomes and the Chiefs Get Favored Treatment by the Refs
in NFL Betting All right, all right - we all read and see for ourselves in some games where it does appear that the refs are quick to throw the flag on the Chiefs opponent a lot. Or if you Mahomes or breathe on him, they will throw the flag for roughing the passer. There are tons of NFL memes out there making fun of this. Do you honestly believe this or do you think that's hogwash and the refs don't favor the Chiefs? |

@JoseAlonso787 Sure, until KC gets beaten, they are the team to beat. I was just saying that most people do want them to get beat. Question for you: do you really think Mahomes and the Chief's get more favored treatment by the refs than other teams? |

@Boisestateand8 EXACTLY, keep an eye on Hurts this week. Also Philly cornerbacks....from what i can tell they are playing with some deep 2nd stringers in the cornerback position. On defense, Philly's best weapon is their defensive line....Washington should play up tempo all game and keep them from subbing. On Offense, Philly's best weapon is Saqoun Barkely....Washington should stack the box and play man to man in secondary and dare Hurts to beat them through the air. But but, i hope people keep disrespecting the Skins. |
