Crosslake Mayor Jackson Purfeerst claimed that fraud, unchecked spending, and inconsistent fiscal management at the state level is making it more difficult for cities and towns to plan responsibly and continue offering core services to local taxpayers.

“Minnesotans watched an historic $18 billion in surplus disappear in a single biennium, only to now face an updated projected $2.9 billion-$3 billion deficit in the 2028-29 biennium," Mayor Purfeerst said, “As mayors, we see firsthand how these decisions ripple outward.”

The letter cited a recent report from the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce that “shows our state slipping in national economic rankings.” 

As mayors, we are committed to responsible budgeting, fiscal restraint, and delivering high-quality local services,” Mayor Purfeerst said, “Yet there is a growing disconnect between state-level fiscal decisions and the strain they place on the cities we lead.”

98 mayors have signed the letter addressed to Minnesota state representatives, senators, and Governor Walz.

That video has had over 100 million views. But where is 60 minutes on this one?? I like USA Today when they stated Nick Shirley has made false statements that the new Minnesota State Flag was going to look more like the Somila flag that has a large star with a blue background. So USA Today says; Shirley has also been criticized for publishing false information. For example, in Shirley's recent viral video, he claims the Minnesota state flag was recently changed to resemble the Somalian flag. The flag’s designer and an expert adviser on the redesign recently told Reuters those claims are false.

One look at the new flag would have anyone questioning why Shirley would say that? Does not resemble Somalian flag at all????

Hmm, don't see that the new flag from any of those six finalists. What happened?? Yeah. Somebody back peddled. Betcha Shirley was talking about those six finalists. 

Maybe USA Today could do some real journalism and investigate the video, the fraud, instead of the old discredit the author. 

So the fact and reality that this type of fraud exists in TNC states as we are seeing now means what exactly?

It is mind numbing how some members here and MANY out in society actually think and forward this absurd agenda as if fraud only can exist in DEM states. What exactly is accomplished playing moronic partisan blame games does that mean the fraud could have been stopped? Does it mean that now we are finding out (SHOCK) that fraud is more rampant than just Minny that the problem probably has ZERO to do with a political party?

It seems many here and out in general society are not really mad at the fraud and are not interested in curbing and improving fraud they are only interested in blaming a political party. I have not seen much of ANY discussion outside a few here about the FRAUD it is only about the party.

But it is true - it does nothing good for you discussing what nationality people that made the fraud had - Denmark is basically as “white” a country as you can imagine - and we also have a lot of fraud ! Normally when fraud gets reported here they just trying to safeguard it won’t happen like that in the future (with rules and regulations) - if there is money to be gained - someone will take advantage (maybe this particular loophole was being raped even harder by a white American - where the administration just isn’t interested in reporting that - I could see that be the case) ! You should consider every fraud case “learning money” trying to combat that loophole going forward - but it is an eternal fight of “cat and mouse”

 The topic of this thread is being discussed. The real problem appears to be the willingness of libs in Minnesota to allow fraud in order to avoid confrontation.

Did you actually say that a state has the ability to allow fraud to the scale and scope that this is? Does that mean that Ohio and Texas and pretty much any state allows just the same to avoid confrontation?

I find it in typical poor taste of the TNC to weaponize race and ethnicity for political purposes, in this case Somalia in other cases as we discussed Haiti and pretty much every/any brown skin trash countries as Trump says...all to forward a political agenda. It has to be fronted with color or location as this divides and enrages the conservatives much better than to leave out the deception and division and actually give a crap about fraud in any color, even when WHITE people do it.

The title of the thread is 'Minny Fraud'.

So, it is essentially about the fraud case(s) specifically in Minnesota, that is a Liberal state, where the Governor is Tim Waltz.  

The cases have been perpetrated, by and large, by the Somalian immigrant community and Liberals.  There are concerns about portions of the funds actually being sent back to terrorist organization(s) in Somalia.

There has been no fraud at this level in a state before (unless the current California situation surpasses it). 

As, I mentioned before, this is coming in a state that until this happened was known as one of the states with the least amount of fraud of this type.

So, the massive amount, the concern about what was done with the money, the recency of it, the likelihood that it was widely known prior to coming to light and looked over are all adding up to make this a story anyone should be concerned about, no matter their political leaning.  I think Altendorf released her letter on this back in the summer.  There were rumblings of it even before that.  It is just that the size and amount of all of this was not fully known at that time.

Every person in this thread knows the details you posted and that is not at all the point of my repeated comments. I dont care about Minny being a LIB state or Walz being a VP candidate or that the fraud groups were from Somalia, nor did I care the garbage that Trump spun about the Hatians eating cats and dogs or that illegals are the woes of our wretched lives. I asked is the thread title about fraud or is it about libs and dems and all the crappy things that libs and dems do. I got the answer from the repeated replies here that indeed this and most threads made by the owner are  just partisan musings and nothing else. Not sure why the need to summarize what everyone knows already as that has little to do with the issue at hand.

If we are concerned about fraud lets just stop being dividing stupid people and weaponizing color or nationality and actually deal with the core of the issue, which I gave full details about and as expected there was no interest about fraud just more pointing out as you also did that Minny is a dem state and that Somalia is the origin of the groups, none of that actually adds value to the problem and is being used as a political dividing mech to enrage people who want to be enraged by color or nationality..

Maybe it would help if you can start a separate thread about fraud in general.  

One that is talking about fraud on an historically massive scale in a Conservative state by mostly white Republicans.  

Include in it the examples of concerns about the white people possibly sending money back to the countries they immigrated from and maybe to terrorist groups in those countries.

The summary was to indicate why this is a unique story.  

If you cannot acknowledge the uniqueness, let alone, the massiveness of this I am not sure what to tell you.

That is why the thread is apparently just about this fraud in Minnesota.

Start a general thread on fraud and I am sure some folks will help you get it going.  Because there are other cases, but none that have this many unique details at this level.

If you want to discuss 'fraud' in general, this does not appear to be the thread for that.

 No thanks I am not interested in your opinion about what I should do. A fraud thread as this is bears to ask a question if the thread is about fraud or not. You can keep your lecture to yourself I for sure do not need your guidance or advice. If someone makes a thread about a TOPIC then it is not out of the question to discuss the topic even if you sillily think I need to make a historic fraud thread just because you say so.

What you are admitting is you are about the partisan aspect of the thread where I am about the actual crime/harm, the fraud not that Minny is run by a DEM and that the skin color and nationality flows with the TNC narrative. Notice that you also did zero discussion about the topic all you did is try and take over the conversation as always telling someone else what they should do and summarizing which nobody needs and adds no value.

Id like to discuss fraud not Somalia or DEM or who to point a finger at. Fraud exists in every state by every nationality and has zero to do with your comments.
