Whether or not you want to be racist is your decision! But at least own up to the fact that your country is white supremacist and racist as fuck. Life experience and daily interactions permit no such statement in bulk. If anything my experience has shown a decrease of confederate flags over the last 12 years.
You of course has the upper advantage here that you live there and I don’t - I acknowledge that - but this ICE thing you have going on doesn’t portray a change for the better to the outside world in that particular department I might say - and I would be surprised if Trump wouldn’t be remembered as worse regarding that also - the media I consume would have absolutely zero reason to portray neither Biden or Obama as being better than Trump regarding that - yet they do

Guys! In the US, it's about three times more likely that a black guy will be killed by police than a white guy. Your country was built by slaves, and when the world said, "Maybe we should ban slavery," around half of your population was so racist that they fought in wars to defend their right to rape and treat slaves like animals. The KKK is a group that rose from your southern states! Now, there's this whole ICE thing that primarily targets black people—almost exclusively—and you guys are talking about white genocide in South Africa. Do you know how many black people are facing genocide around the globe, including in Africa? (And white people dont even face genocide in South Africa at a scale even worth talking about)

@Calde13
Compared to other countries perhaps....but it's not the majority of the US population....Most of the racism - BY FAR - is by the nearly half of this divided country known as conservatives (right-wing) - most particular the trump-fascist-MAGA faction of that formerly respectable party:

@Calde13 Yes, buts it's 90 percent of the time that blacks are committing the crimes. It's also true that it was blacks that sold the white people the slaves.
People often forget about that. And this didn't just happen to black people. In some ways, although the way slaves were treated was inhumane, but this allowed those people to be spread around the globe when they may not have otherwise made the venture. Those were troubling times back then, but it is fact that blacks sold other blacks. Often times, no one talks about the other side of the equation which was equally responsible. Those who sold slaves during that time frame often knew how they would be treated once they were given to those people. Let's also keep in mind that not all slaves, regardless of color, were treated badly and in some cases may have been no different than how it may have been had they stayed in place. Ideally though, because it was predominantly blacks that fell into slavery here in the US, it is a stigma that cannot be overlooked. However, it could also be said that this transactional situation back in the day allowed those people to come to America and have the way of life and opportunity that the current generation has today. Although, at times, not easy for some of them, a lot of them have led far better lives in current days times than they may have had if slavery never happened. Some could argue that most squander the American opportunity in today's times and that is not a comment related to anyone of color, but rather any American in general. This country is what you make of it, and yes it is not lost on me that the blacks have had a much tougher go at it than others. However, times are not what they were back in the day. Is it still bad in certain places, yes, but is it as widespread as it was some 60-70 years ago, no. Progress of any kind can often times be a slow pace. Doesn't make it right, but any progress is good progress as opposes to no progress.
The one questions I like to ask people on this topic is, do you feel that the black slaves sold by their own kind are better off to be here in America or better off had they stayed in Africa? no right answer of course, but it is an interesting question. I believe that they are afforded more opportunity in today's times in America and that being here is better than being in Africa, of course certain parts of Africa are ok. Would I have said that 70 years ago, no way. Times here in America, although still needs improvement, is I think better here now versus in Africa. It is an interesting debate though.

So from the ICE director himself: Our job is to enforce the law and Judicial orders. If they dont like it get together and change the laws. I'm guessing your media hasn't shown you that.

Dont quote me on this - but isn’t that the whole point what makes Trump “worse” that he doesn’t care about the other checks and balances - but goes all Chuck Norris on the matter and does something - then asking for “permission” at a later point - that was how I understood that case with the American they sent to that foreign prison - where they photoshopped those gang tattoos on

100% they are better of over there ! I give you a lot of shit talk - you are not much compared to high S tier European or Asian countries in how your country/goverment treats you ! But you are still miles better than African and South American countries - and that isn’t even close

Confederate flags do not mean their owners are racist. You must be a city slick? I live out in the boonies and these flags are numerous. I know some owners of these symbols, and they definitely are not racists. It's a history of its own beyond skin color!

I'm sure it'd be argued as a matter of interpretation which has sadly become the norm. Overstep (either intentionally or not) get slapped by a court. Define the merit of the court decision based on who appointed them and proceed until the Supreme Court weighs in. Then tout the victory or slightly adjust the policy wording and carry on.
Both sides do it just depends on who has the power and whether it benefits you.
I'm not a Biden guy but was all for cancellation of my student loans and haven't paid on them in 4 years......well except the interest.

Whether or not you want to be racist is your decision! But at least own up to the fact that your country is white supremacist and racist as fuck. Life experience and daily interactions permit no such statement in bulk. If anything my experience has shown a decrease of confederate flags over the last 12 years.

I'm 30 minutes to gas, groceries, or emergency services. The only place I see them or pull tab cigarette machines (at 18.00 a pack) are pool nights and at the mechanic.

Yeah it was also my perception it had become worse since Trump - but in general it seems like you have also become more divided - Clinton was the president you had when I was born - and I can’t see any other of the presidents but Trump pull off an AI stunt where he shits on half your population and the flag - and 30% of your population celebrate it like it is the most cool and badass thing they have ever seen ! As an outsider I have never seen a country that seems so divided before that still want to stay together - it has turned more into a game of “I told you so” rather than the wish to move forward as a combined nation ! I kind of feel like the kid that sees my parents argue in an abusive marriage

You're also not paying anything on my behalf, it's not how it works in my case.
If you have an unsubsidized federal Stafford loan or a Direct PLUS loan, the government will not pay your interest during your deferment or forbearance. Generally, you are responsible for paying the interest that accrues on these loans during the deferment period.
"While your loan is in deferment, you have the option of paying the interest as it accrues. Alternatively, you can wait for the interest to accrue and be “capitalized,” or added to your loan’s principal balance when the deferment period ends. If you choose to capitalize the interest, your total repayment amount may be higher over the life of the loan."

$332 per month? Doesn't matter - what you borrowed you pay back at the interest rate when you made the contract. I have been buying gold and silver since 2012 (physical only) - because this attitude of not paying what they borrowed/owed will crush this country's economy. Morality in this country peaked years ago!

Why did you defer? I'm sure you'll say I did not/do not have the money. Yet you're on a gambling site? You are losing money big time by just paying the interest. You are not gaining anything, kicking the can down the road. I'm sure/hope you know this. If you can't pay the principal, please quit gambling because the chances that you're one of the 5% of winners is miniscule. Just trying to help. All IMHO.
