Good God you guys are ruthless on here. Do you actually thimk I expected anyone to send me money? I am just a guy who is living in a small town, surrounded by cornfields, who likes to watch sports. I also enjoy writing and sharing stories. When I stumbled onto this site I thought it was pretty cool.....bunch of guys talking about who they like and why. The 100,000 streak contest is the only reason I started coming here, thought the forums were for the punk 20 somethings who think they know how to pick winners. At the very least it made for an interesting read. So I figured hell I'll start writing and saying who I like. I haven't played with a book in 20 years or so.....embarrassingly enough I had to move across country to get away from him when I couldn't pay. It changed my life, thats for sure. At 19 I had a new Corvette and plenty of money.....for 3 months, when I had to sell the car. Three months later I took $12,000 to a car dealer in another state and paid cash for a GTA Trans-Am off his show room, this is in the 80's. That car was also only around for a few months. Way, way over my head....not even old enough to get into the bars but I could sure pick winners. The problem is I never knew when to quit and eventually I lost everything, including my relationship with my dad. I haven't seen or talked to him in 15 years or so, and yes, he's still booking. I can remember going to my baseball game, my senior year of high school and stopping at a pay phone, still remember the payphone even, but doubt it's still there......I stopped so I could put in a $500 4-teamer and writing the 4 teams on the outside of my glove so I could remember who I played. As I said before, this helps when I write so bear with me.......

I don't want anyone writing rotten things on here, I sure never expected anyone to pay me. Who in their right mind would send money to a guy they don't even know? Heck, go to VegasInsider if you want free picks. The web is full of guys who'll offer to take your money, I call them con artists. I don't want anyone's money, I was only joking when I said cut me in on your profits......that even sounds goofy. Am I going to help you pay the man when my picks lose? Hell no. I am soory anyone took me seriously about that. I thought my early posts were pretty clear, looking to make friends, talk sports, and relieve some anxiety. A few guys that totally ripped me only made my anxiety worse.

So anyway, I wish you all a good night, hope you have nothing but winners. That Duke/Mary game should be a heck of a game, the line sure shows where the public is betting. I did like Georgia +8 but now I've found 2 sites that said they have been predicting a Georgia upset all week. I don't know for sure where I'll go tonight....just wanted to thank those of you who were nice and apologize to those few that thought I actually expected a bunch of strangers to send me money.

For what it's worth, here's my Readers Digest version of tonights card:

UAB controls their own destiny, can't afford to lose this game, haven't made the NCAA yet even with that record.....S. Carolina it's senior night and Alabama has a starter out, didn't look into this game much...Rhode Island is a beast at home but a big game like this, don't know about laying 8-, the number opened at 7- so I guess Joe Q says Rhode is the play.....I think UConn is a better team than their record shows and they seem to tune it up at tourney time, kind of like the Huskies, Golden Domers shot their wad the past few games....Ark plus the points seems good, Tennessee coming off the big win over Kentucky...Volunteers 3-8 last 11 ATS, they'll win, but don't know about the cover......if I saw it right, the number for Fla. St went from -4- to -7 overnight, if thats true then every player from east to west must be on the Seminoles, maybe it;s because the Deacs won by 20 something last time.....I like UMass, but only because LaSalle is disgusting, get this.....1-9 ATS last 10, 0-9 ATS home, 0-7 ATS home in conf....then figure UMass is 8-5 ATS on the road and their last game they got spanked by Dayton by 30 or so......maybe UMass for me.....I like K State but so does everyone else I'm afraid so I'll just enjoy the game. Auburn might be a good play tonight but 2 is a scary number....as I said earlier Georgia was on my plate getting 8 but now VegasInsider has one of their writers claiming that he has predicted Georgia to win for the past week....take his advice if you want to. Steve Alford got his hand slapped this week for letting his adrenaline get the best of him, kind of funny I think but his Lobos will probably take care of business tonight against the horny toads.....BYU/Utah, good rivalry, like the Utes at home getting 6 but since it opened at 7 so does everybody else. Duke opened +1 now they are -1- so I of course would be on the Terrapins side. I haven't followed the Terps since the days of Len Bias, that guy was really amazing, what a tragedy. Texas A-M is another one I like laying 6. Okie St coming down off big win, A-M awful good at home...State 2-6 ATS on the road.....lastly, Purdue should kick the snot out of Indiana and Wiskey should do the same to Iowa but I just don't think I can lay all those points. 

I just wrote this for something to do, I don't know what my pick is for today so don't go quoting me on anything tomorrow when something I said is wrong.....this is just something for casual reading, just one guys opinion. Good luck tonight all.
