They hate mexicans because they are "taking their jobs" they have asians because they are "taking their jobs." I guess every black who is born is entitled to a job, house, and healthcare. I only read the first paragraph but this guys accusations holds no water. How would he prove racism when it was only a phone call?
I usually know when its a black person on the line most of the time but still that doesn't mean anything. It could have been Vanilla Ice or Eminem on the line. Who the heck knows what race the other person it.

Not sure if its a social problem, more like an ignorance issue.

you and i have the exact same thoughts concerning mr scal. the guy is obviously bright, but just as you stated, also very naive.
there is certainly racism out there, and it probably manifests in ways that you and i couldn't understand. but i would suggest that it also works in ways that scal could never know. his outrage, his passion towards a topic which he will always be slightly ignorant of almost compounds the volume of his voice.
scal has the potential to make some decent points if he didn't lose so much of his credibility on his all-or-nothing mentality. there are aspects of society that have nothing to do with racism, but a well read, intelligent young man can bring it back with just a little twisting, and a small amount of manipulation.
the man who called your agency was clearly in the wrong. he turned his own inability to adjust to YOUR better business practices into a racial card. to me, he is the mirror image of gloria allred's vapid clients, human vacuums who felt like victims as they let a known married tiger have his way.
scal neglects all notions of personal responsibility/integrity in his golden calves. and the ironic thing is, he has no idea that his viewpoint is significantly more condescending than that of your own. he is treating the black man as someone who doesn't possess the ability for self control or ethical success. murder, rape, assault will always be the fault of history and the victim aggressor's place in it.
