Why would presume to know how and with whom I grew up? You must have had poor parenting. My community and school were not even close to all white and my job is in a hospital where its about 50/50 coworker wise and the patients are 80% black.

I will probably be crucified for saying this, but hey, it is the TRUTH.  I hesitate to hire black people.  I have had some good ones, but honestly, everytime something happens, bad behavior, bad consistent errors, or whatever, and I have to fire that person, they always run straight to the human rights commission.  Now, I have to spend hours and hours writing up rebuttals and attend at least one meeting on how I may have discriminated against this person.  I had a black guy miss 3 days of work.  No calls, no show.   I fired him.  Couple of days later, letter from HRC.  Meeting, I am found to have discriminated, a/c he is a minority.  WHAT?  He missed 3 days straight work, with no advance warning or reason.  Unbelieveable.  I can't run a business like that.   I have had to go through this 5 times in the last 10 years.  But, I have never gone to court over this.  No lawyer ever took one of these cases--what does that tell you?   It is a HUGE waste of my time.  I truly am NOT a racist, I honestly judge people by their actions, hearts, and souls.  My impression, is MOST blacks feel they are entitled.  NOBODY is.  Get over it.  It is unfortunate.  I hate feeling this way.  But it is what I have encountered.   I don't get it....I hire the best person, black, yellow, whatever...doesn't that in itself show I don't discriminate?  But wow, try to correct, or fire, and it is nothing but trouble.

hey Train...get that free block of cheese on the way home from cleaning out bedpans at the local clinic...then when you get home you can drink some hooch as you gamble your state assisted checks on losing bets...

I haven't had that experience yet. Maybe it's because I tell all of my employees that I don't fire them; they fire themselves. You may want to try that approach.

Finally made it to the PBox huh.....well it was a good run....

The hell if it doesn't Scalabrine. I was a kitchen manager for 15 years and I cannot tell you how many white guys that I interviewed that I already had my mind made up when they walked through the front door that they had no chance to get hired. I don't care if they tickled my balls under the table while I was asking them questions.
