Now you all know why the bills switched to orton today, that division, like the nfc south, is horrendous, 8-8 or 9-7 will win it.

Belichick knows the team is better off with Garapolo in the long run because of the fact that they can pay him so much less and spend that money on other positions. Maybe that's why he traded Mankins, as a way to say we're rebuilding and to give Brady less help so he will look like he has declined and Belichick can justify giving him his walking papers after the season. Tom can still play, he's just overpaid.

Perhaps we see Tom Brady in a Houston Texans uniform next year.

I heard this kicked around on local radio here in vegas this week by dave cokin, a pretty respected handicapper and a die hard pats fan. He honestly agreed with your assessment, that the pats are indeed setting brady up to fail so they can rebuild. I thought he was high until i watched them tonight, this is a pretty bad football team. Also why the hell was gronkowski riding the pine when the game was still in doubt? THen he comes in and plays with garappolo??

yeah the pats look like a sick team.  i don't know what the answer is but at this rate they may not make the playoffs and that's after years of dominating record-wise.

they would lose a few games a year, that's it.  and they'd never get embarrassed like this, let alone to the Chiefs, not the 9ers Broncos Seahawks

used to be a great team, not any more.

THere are times when Brady looks upset and mad, now he looks like he's dismayed and doesn't know what to do.  A sign of a bad team and getting old.

Brady has mentally checked out of this team ever since the Mankins trade - he's not dumb, he knows what that move meant for him. Watched him close tonight and it seriously looks like he intentionally threw those picks. I wouldn't doubt for a moment that he wouldn't mind getting out of New England.

Imagine what a team like Buffalo or Arizona could do with him. Both of those teams are a great leader at QB away from being serious contenders because they're basically complete in all other areas.

As a bills fan i would love nothing more than to see brady suited up in bills gear . He would be worshipped like a king in western new york, they would literally bow down to him and kiss his rings. I do see the sun setting on his career in new england, i don't think hed want any part of playing in the nfc west, so i could totally see him in a bills or texans uniform, who are both a good qb away from being contenders.

for brady to go to the bills 3 things have to happen:
-Bills want Brady.  If the Patriots think Brady is finished, why wouldn't the BIlls.  Not sure the small market BIlls are ready to pay top salary for an aging hero.  Brady's a pocket passer do they want an immoble qb.
-Brady has to want to go to the Bills.  Hard to believe.
-The Pats have to drop Brady.  They're not doing that any time soon.  If they consider it, that will be in the offseason, and my guess is they'll pick up a qb to compete for his job, than trade a veteran who knows the system and has won consistently with it.

Interesting. It's pure speculation on my part, but we have seen things like that before, i.e. Rex Ryan putting Sanchez back into a preseason game in the 4th quarter with 4th a string OL to end the controversy with Geno Smith.

A few years ago, Philip Rivers went through a 3 year stretch where he was mediocre, and there were whispers that he had lost it. The team improved the offensive line and look at him now. Tom Brady is in a similar situation now. He is still good, but it is hard to win super bowls in this hard salary cap era when you pay one guy 20 million. It would make sense that Belichick knows it and wants to bring in the cheaper talent.

I don't think bradys lost it . I see a horrible offensive line and nothing but garbage recievers around him. If the pats want to abandon him im sure there's about 20 other teams that would love to pay him for services.

I think Buffalo and Arizona are more complete overall than Houston, but yes, they'd be another solid option. Outside of those 3 teams, there isn't another "contending" team he could go to because all others have established highly paid QB's.

Ironic thing is, Brady's a Bay Area guy who grew up loving the 49ers and the 49ers could easily win at least a couple rings with him over the next 4 years. Unfortunately, they just gave $60M guaranteed to the low-IQ clown Kaepernick so that rules them out.

The 49ers of old would find a way to trade Kaepernick and get Brady on board because their window is starting to close and still no rings with all that talent.

no way.

nobody's paying a 37 year old immobile pocket passer qb showing signs of age tens of millions to come in as a savior

by the time he's playing next season he'll be 38, even older

dream on.

I agree.

i don't think you can find one team interested in picking up brady for next season an aging immobile qb at 38 who went through a bad season (if he goes through a good season he'll still be in new engald)

crazy talk fellas
