NFL week 1 ….. eye test .

NE -won by 30/21 1st downs(big surprise      

Jets won by 20, 21 1st downs.                

Cleveland: won by 20 /20 1st downs.              

TB won by 22pts, 20 1st downs, rush 178 yds.

Chargers won by 14, forced turnovers, only 4 penalties.

Wash  lost by 30 pts, 13 penalties                  

Caro lost by 20 pts, 13 1st downs                    

GB lost by 20 pts, 12  1st downs  

Let me add Denver Broncos . Played well. 

Overall :  I’m impressed with Chargers defense. It’s early but last week , they pushed Detroit on defense with sacks and forced turnovers (5). 
this week, their defense was on fire and only let One deep pass for a a large gain.

BY THE Way ….. The NFL IS A GREAT way to make some nice money .  

I have LOST MY AZZ in NBA , those guys don’t defend anymore and load mngt is Bullshit. That means , the “overs” of crazy numbers like 235 and realistic . Go back 20 years , the average score was in the high 80’s or low 90’s in the play offs .  I’m just venting  !!!!!!!

The guys take a day off when they want to and it throws numbers off for both the win or loss .

They we're all meaningless week 1 pre-season games.

Yes they are , but it’s better than slow motion baseball or no defense basketball . 

My point is you should have no takeaways like 'Denver Broncos played well' or 'impressed with Chargers defense.' None of that will matter in week one, hence my choice of the word meaningless.

Preaseason games are critical to determine a teams depths and especially Special Teams. why deny another feather in the cap.. due diligence will always continue to pay off. 

Also pay attention to the sharpness and communications by coaching staffs… The organization I watched from a lot of staffs left a lot to be desired…. 

these weeks don’t matter because Coaching staffs won’t reveal a thing… However, plenty of intangibles (especially special teams and depth) can be gathered and it’s worth fast forwarding through downtime between plays,  and commercials to watch every matchup. 

Also it will only become closer to game levels the next 2 games. 

Not just meaningless but completely meaningless. I already know what I'm looking for the first two weeks of the season. Guys like you watching "game tape" are so far behind and unprepared for week one. Forget the eye test and study your history. You will be much better off.

You’re correct dude, I don’t mean to create chaos but simply assessing rookies , will they help the team or hurt them with average play.
