How are VCU/Butler considered lesser competition?  Are you blind?  They've competed with the "so-called best" and beat them.  People want to see the kids with heart and hustle play - not the kids that come into the tourney full of themselves, full of their schools.

How are VCU/Butler considered lesser competition?  Are you blind?  They've competed with the "so-called best" and beat them.  People want to see the kids with heart and hustle play - not the kids that come into the tourney full of themselves, full of their schools.

I'm guessing you're a proponent of the BCS then?  This tournament is exactly what's wrong with college football, they don't get a chance to prove who deserves to be the national champion.  I'm sorry you lost your Kansas bet, but to say that VCU isn't deserving to go to the Final Four just because they beat teams that had more regular season wins than them and have an (11) by their name is utterly ridiculous.  Stick to college football and stop bitching.

These are the kind of games I absolutely love to see. David beating Goliath. This is kids playing kids. You can't measure heart on paper. The NCAA hoops is not about the so called best team on paper in the country but the team playing the best basketball to end the season. Absolutely insane for anyone to think a team that has beaten USC, Georgetown, Purdue and Kansas ALL BY DOUBLE DIGITS and Florida st by one point is on a lucky run. Mad props VCU.

Butler back to back Final Fours, I don't think you can say they are lesser competition or don't have the talent. They play as a team (like VCU), and this is a team game.

Sure. Similar to how that putrid St Louis Cardinals team won the 2006 World Series. There were clearly better teams that year then them, yet they still won it. Who gives a shit. VCU vs. Butler is gonna be awesome.

Maybe, but who's to say that VCU couldn't beat Kansas in a best of 7 series. You don't know. To me it sure looked like they could take em down.

1. Bill Self should be fired. It's inexcusable that this always happens to him  This is the type of job you go and fetch Brad Stevens for.

2. This is a complete NIGHTMARE for Houston since VCU and Butler just aren't going to travel and fill up those hotel rooms.

3. VCU v. Butler will have low ratings b/c people want the little guys v. the big boys, not against each other.

4. This is completely and totally awesome. 

5. If UNC isn't in the final, the little guy...

His argument is definitely a pro-BCS argument haha.  The rules are simple.  You play a game and if you win you play on, if you lose you go home.

Sorry you lost  for real  I am. And Kansas is my team also. But Rams are Very very good . Match the teams player for player do it yourself. its your $$ put the win or loss on yourself.VCU today is the better team. When you get to 8 teams to the 4 teams anyone can win on any given day. Bingo Baby
