Speaking from experience. Get 1st place too ! I finished 2nd and it sucks. Thankfully, I had a streak earlier month.

I read an earlier post that worried about Covers going bankrupt. Sure, anything is possible, but that seems incredibly unlikely. Covers paid out $100k to Tuppy eight years ago when the company was a fraction of its current size; by this point in time another $100k prize would probably be celebrated by the company for the publicity, rather than raise concern about financial stability. I would not worry for one minute about receiving the prize if the prize was won.

As for hedging, I recently got a $15,000 unsecured personal loan online. It took four days from my loan application to having the money in my checking account (including over a weekend). And my credit score isn't even that good (thanks to my divorce a few years ago). All I'm saying is I could find a way to at least partially hedge the 25th pick.

And what I'm not saying is brackson was wrong in any way. As everyone agrees, he's one of the good ones on here and I wouldn't disparage his achievement in any way. I hope we see another member get a shot at the big prize in the near future.

Vikings53098 is on his way. He just became the 4th Member to cash in January and that's a new record folks...at least since I've been on Covers in one month and yes I've created his thread so look for it and give that man some support!

I'm guessing that you picked first & he just faded you, smart move on his part, you could have waited for him to pick then just copied his pick guaranteeing your win, but I guess that would have kinda been a person move doing that, well congrats on which ever one of you wins.

Well that sucks for you Brackson13, all you needed was just 1 extra win to get that 1K for monthly wins, but I guess you really can't complain with already winning the 25K.

Also I was looking at some of the other people on the monthly wins list & there's this one person "sweetsue72", they went on a 11 game win streak then had 1 loss & now is on a 7 game streak, that has to kinda hurt, to know if you just didn't have that 1 loss you'd be 2 wins away from 25K

MAKE it 5 in a row, CURSE........You don't have any power at all, you brag about someone's streak you don't know and the next thing, they are no longer at the top of the leaderboard. 5 losses in a row? Brackson is better than this. These aren't his picks. The books knew people would continue tailing him because of his phenomenal streak of 24, and they're paying him to go opposite of what his actual picks are so the books can rake in the $$$. Just my opinion. ;-)

Just wanted to Congratulate You on your Accomplisment of Winning the 25k, not an easy think to do.

I'm new to the community and forum, not to using Covers, neither to Betting.

I want to leave this comment as a General Topic and Concern, this is why there is a Growing Theory about all this Major Sports Leagues Fixing Some Games, specially the NBA that it's the most unpredictable league to bet in the world.

I watched The last 2 L.A. Clippers games, the first on Friday against the Pelicans and yesterday's One against the Spurs, loosing them both badly ATS.

It's unbelievable the way Mr. Rivers ingeniously managed to loose the game to the Pelicans (without Davis, their best player) while sitting Deandre Jordan for almost the entire 3rd Quarter, letting the Pelicans Fly away High (scoring 35 points), to then "Try" to Catch them back in the 4th Quarter when there was not enough time to do so.

Mr. Jordan was having a great defensive night and had grabbed 12 boards by the half time, with 0 (Zero) faults and non injury or discomfort showed. Everyone of Us knows that D. Jordan is one of the Greatest Defensive Pieces in the League and an Awesome Rebounder, but Mr. Rivers, acting on His Best Dumm Role, decide to rest him while watching patiently how the Pelicans Grow a Big Lead and Soared the Clippers to take them Out of the Game. Everyone involved in this "business", just by sitting and watching the games, knows when a team have the green light to go out and win, or just go out and play the "Ridiculous" in front of the fans that had paid to attend an already pre-fixed game, that's a Big Shame. We all had made those "Trap Bet" were we know that just by watching the first quarter we had burned our money, because we have no chance on winning that bet.

By the end of the game D.Jordan finished with 14 Rebounds (just 2 in the second half) while committing no Faults in the entire game (0 Zero).

Totally different Story on the Game agains the Spurs, and by the way, a totally different result. He played almost the entire Second Half and Battle Until the End of the Game, grabbing those much needed boards, blocking shots and imposing his big presence around the Rim.

This is not about the better analisys, back to back games, been at home or at the road, and any of these factors and statistics that we burn hours analizing, this is about being lucky and laying to the side that the league already ruled as the winner. One day or Two you could get Lucky and place your bet on a game that hasn't been Pre-Fixed, (as I'm not trying to say they fix all games) and those factors and Statistics that we use to analyze can follow their normal path, but not on a regular basis.

This 2 last games of the Clippers are a Very Clear example of what I use to Call the Green Light Or Red Light.

That's why the NBA keep ripping us all the time.
