11/29 JM Magic.....

How come nobody on here posted Boston as a play?  They started a 4 game road trip last night in Miami and covered.  They finish the trip with 2 games out of conference against San Antonio and OKC.  Is this a play under JM?  I see someone posted it as a JM winner, but I am trying to track these myself and I didn't have Boston.  Just trying to figure out if I should have.....

Me too, but that doesn't exactly jive with the idea that we are supposed to be playing the road trip starting with the first game.  I haven't seen any plays where you pick up a team in mid-road trip.  I just don't know if I should start playing Boston on Dec. 1st or if that series is closed based upon their win last night....

Boston was NOT a play V1 OR V2 yesterday.  I don't understand how anyone can say that?  Dec 1, Boston plays at Charlotte.  After this, they are at SA and at OKC.  The V2 play kicks in on Dec 1.  Miami was an in-conference foe last night. 

JM is getting what he wants, and we are falling into his traps.  V2 system says two of the three road games are out of conference.

If someone can prove to me JM was a V1 or V2 system play last night and not a personal play, I will stop posting.  

You are right,Boston was not a play by any JM rules on 11/29. They are a play as V2 starting 12/1.  Keep posting...

Kangy and rogue,  I am with you guys.  I agree that Boston was not a v1 or v2 play last night based on the spreadsheets and everything I have...  But I saw the posts by Spider and Ezmonie and was wondering what I was missing. 

The only confusion I had was that I didn't know a JM series could start mid-road trip.  I had thought the series all began with the first game of the trip.  The 12/1 Boston play is the first one I can recall where his series begins AFTER the first game of the road trip.  Thats what I was concerned about. 

I think what I need to do is just follow the damn spreadsheets and ignore all of the posting commentary....

I am assuming the majority of the confusion lies in the following:

Team goes on a four game road trip.  First game is at a conference foe, the next three are against out of conference opponents.

The question is:  Does the V2 system "wrap" itself around V1 system...  Meaning, does JM consider all V1 plays as V2 plays as well...  So in the above scenario, the real question is does JM begin his V2 series with the first game or does he begin V1 with the second game.  My interpretation of the rule may be different that what JM's is...  after all it is "his" system.

The site does not appear to be an official Tan site.  However, the interpretation of those games is exactly how I perceive them to be...  I do not have a soft copy of that sheet, just hard copy. 

So not to sway anyone from playing the official series, I am rolling all V1 plays as V2 and playing those.  In the Phoenix example, my V2 series would have started on 11/27.  My Boston V2 starts 12/1.  My Philadelphia V2 (even though it was V1) started last night.

Tonight I have a V2 Chicago [C] bet, even though JM did not make this (at least I did not see where any one posted Chicago being a second series). 

These are my upcoming "V2" games....
11/30 Indiana
12/1  Boston and Miami
12/5  Denver and Orlando
12/7  Golden State and Portland

I still like the don't play worst road team on the road, but we saw that even the Nets found a way to win...  And yes, the Nets were the worse road team, so by playing them, he re-nigged on his own stipulation. 

Refer to post #36 of this thread concerning the NBA records the last few years both buying the points and not buying the points.  Also pay attention to the disclaimer where I announce that I did not take into any stipulations.  I think this is key. 

Post #40 is my interpretation that V2 and V1 are the same because I mention the conversion.  A V1 series could be converted to a V2 by placing an in conference road game before the normal set of three out of conference games.  Again, my interpretation. 

By bundling all V1 plays into V2, I just may have given JM his super V3 system... 

Did you forget 12/6 Clev V2   and   12/7  Denv   V1  ?

Kangy, that was my point about the FIRST DAY rule. Phoenix was in the exact situation this week. I cancelled them from my V1 and moved on without the win.

This could have given you a V2[B] Play and a V1[A] Play at the same time if they failed to cover vs Minny.

V2[B]+V1[A]=[C]

Two things...Boston on 11/29 was in fact a V2 play according to the emaiI received. It stated A bet against Miami, B bet against Cha, and C bet against San. Confusing for sure, but that is what it said. More importantly, I received a message when I logged into my Bet Jamaica site this morning stating that I am only allowed to by 1pt max from now on in the NBA. I'm waiting for an explanation, however I'm sure it won't be resolved in a favorable way. Having said that, can you guys point me in the right direction as to another book that won't do this?

Ooops, yes, I did forget Cleveland.  I had it in my spreadsheet.  As for Denver V1 on 12/7...  My series will start 12/5 when they play their in conference foe San Antonio.

You won't be able to fight it, they started a policy that if the majority of your bets buy 3 pts they limit you. Started last year.

The manager will tell you take your business elsewhere. Sorry. Many people have blogged about this. 

 
I wonder if this is what JM meant by do not play on the regular V1 unless the in conference game before it (and most likely all in conference road games before it) lose by 3+ ATS.  Wondering if this is a convoluted way of extending a series to 4 or 5 games.

Now I can see what will happen to the V1 customers like myself.  We will never see the original V1 plays, if  V2 covers the first road game before three out of conference road games.

So i guess that´s it. They will probably blame this and that for a while until i get tired of them and move along. Sad story but oh so true

Just wanted to share so everyone knows what we´re up against. If anyone has any suggestions on where i can move my money and be able to buy 3 points i will be grateful.

Interesting even JM himself gave out an erroneous play for his system.  He won it anyway.  He must have thought Miami would be an easier win than Charlotte.
